Mash-up -- a song created from the combination of the music from one song with the a capella from another; a song created out of pieces of two or more songs, usually by overlaying the vocal track of one song seamlessly over the music track of another.

Anyone else fans of this type of music? What are some of your favorites? Which ones work and which don't.

    Some of my favorites:

Tender Umbrella (Rihanna, "Umbrella" and General Public, "Try a Little Tenderness")

Once In A Lifetime (Spacey-Bassy MARRS Mix) (Talking Heads, "Once In A Lifetime" and M/A/R/R/S "Pump Up The Volume")

Funky Goes To Hollywood (Wild Cherry, "Play That Funky Music" and Frankie Goes To Hollywood, "Relax")

Love Comes Running Up That Hill Quickly (Placebo/Kate Bush "Running Up That Hill" and Pet Shop Boys "Love Comes Quickly")

My favorite mashup is "What If" by Girl Talk - it mashes "Project Bitch" by the Cash Money Millionaires with Joan Osborne's "What If"

    Goes like....

    What if God was...
    A project bitch
    What if God was...
    A hoodrat chick
    What if God was...
One that don't give a fuck and say she took that dick.

    LOL
