I'll admit being a sucker for slots. I've always been a big fan of computer games, and there's a familiarity there. It's also completely irrelevant of skill, so I needn't ever beat myself up after a loss for not "hitting" or for picking the wrong color. And because it's so heavily tied to luck, it's fun making up small good luck rituals before hitting the button.

Also, when you win, the machine makes a hell of a lot of noise advertising to everyone around "That's right, bitches! I'm a winner! I'm takin these 40 bucks and I'm paying for my gas and a pizza!!!" (yay nickel slots).

Oh, I should add, what method do you use to make sure you don't go broke? In advance I decide how much money I can blow to have some fun. I also decide at what point a win is big enough that I should cash out the machine and not spend that money. So maybe I'll say "I'm going to spend $100 this afternoon, and any time a machine comes up with a win of $20 or more I'll save that ticket till the end and take that money back home.

Blackjack and I limit myself to $100 normally ($5 table). I like finding a table where people talk and have fun. Lets not be to serious face it the house has the odds. Oh yeah and the free beers.:beerchug2:

I'm not really a drinker so I've never done it, but how free are the free drinks? Do they give you as much as you want, or do they usually just offer you a free round or two? Can you get mixxed drinks as well, or is it just beer that's free?

Do you tip the waitress/waiter? Do you ever tip with a poker chip? :p

Nevermind, answered my own question. Thanks, Google: http://www.cocktaildoll.com/

I've done quite well playing Blackjack. When I'm on a trip that has casinos I limit my gamble to $250.00. Like OWO I like to find a table with players that are congenial and there for entertainment but also know how to play.

If I'm at a casino definitely the slots. All the bells and whistles just draw me in, and the fact you're alone with the machine and not at the mercy of some newbie/idiot at a Blackjack table who's going to screw everyone around them with his/her inexperience. Craps is fun too but I've never had much luck at it. I've got to become more of a student of the game to raise the enjoyability level for that little sinister game.

But my favorite at the moment is Texas hold 'em poker. I have a group of friends here at college and we play just about every other weekend. Usually there's 7-8 of us, buy-ins are anywhere between $5-10 (pots $35 to 80), depending on how broke we all are for the week, sometimes it could be as little as a couple dollars each, winner take all. It's just a blast to hang out, get drunk or stoned, have a laugh, and play all night with the possibility of leaving with a little money in your pocket. I've gotten really good at it and have done really well the last two times. Other than that most of my gambling takes place with scratch ticket or taking chance on the bigger multimillion dollar lottery games.

Buying puts and calls on the options market. Made and lost some serious money. Someday, when the market regains its sanity, I'll go at it again.

I bet once a year on the Melbourne Cup because I'm Australian and it really is the race that stops a nation.

22 odd decided it was the ultimate 'mugs game'
so to get out of it, bet 100$ per year on one horse / race, after 6 or so years of only ever comming 2nd once hhaha gave up, for 20 years or so
Now just have occasional bets on big races, plus a little splurge on Sports betting

Still a losers game tho ha gambling.. just know it..then again feel hell of a sorry for the Casino or Compulsive Gambles, surely a disease.
