After all the fancy sandwiches so far, my simple tastes are going to be an anti-climax......

Cold: PB & Nutella

Hot: Grilled cheese (sometimes on it's own, sometimes melted over a pineapple ring on a slice of ham or chicken or turkey etc.....)

I do like some fancy nommiches, but the keyword is HOMEMADE - I'm far too lazy to make the effort.....

Mmmm, sometimes my tastes turn to Reuben on a hearty rye and sometimes a simple avocado and sprouts on flatbread. My friend makes a dressing that is to die for, and while I'd love to have the recipe I'd rather her just make it! I'm sometimes lazy like that.

My favorite is using homemade bread lightly toasted then lightly coated with mayonnaise on one side and lightly cooked in butter for a few minutes until golden brown.
On the uncooked inside lightly coat with mornay sauce and then use turkey and or ham and gruyere cheese and wrap in foil and bake in the oven until all melty and gooey.

Heart attack sandwich. lol.

Three words: B. L. T.

It's the finest sandwich known to man.

^This... and THE BEST is when you can pick the tomatoes fresh from the garden.

Pick them Green (almost yellow) and batter and fry for a wonderful Fried Green Tomato Sandwich. We make our own sauce with peppers from the garden, mayo and brown mustard. (and some other stuff my hubs throws in.) We use Maple Flavored Bacon and serve on toasted wheat bread..

Even better than a plain BLT...

(I was raised on 'Mater Sammiches.... so they are and always will be my favorite.)

extra tomato sandwich on toasted rye, slice of cheese (sometimes) with a lil bit of mayo and a dash of salt

i  tomatoes

sometimes i add facon (veggie bacon) instead of cheese.

and now and then i add guacamole instead of facon or cheese.

but there's always extra extra tomatoes.
