I can't listen to radio on the internet. I have a dialup connection and radio uses up memory as fast as a cat with its tail on fire.

TragicWhiteKnight: WFMU (www.wfmu.org)! More variety than you can shaped a warped old vinyl at - and archives, archives, archives! Anything from avant-garde to 1920s Christian revivalist recordings.

And Exploitika Radio (www.exploitika.com) for sleazy soundtrack grooves.

Well my excuse is that I can get my favourite station through old-fashioned radio in better quality, through better speakers and without slowing down my 'net connection. I guess if you aren't living alone then you can't just have your radio blasting in the other room while you surf.

SpeedoGuy: I'm not much into Internet radio since the streaming sound quality tends to be low. I don't like the boxy, tinny sound. I've loaded (and converted) lots of CDs into MP3 so I just my Creative Nomad jukebox alot instead.

happysucks: I have a cable connection so the stream doesnt run my system down

It's also nice to plug in to the house speakers and have the music in every room.

I mainly like internet radio for the Live DJ sets. I'm in america and can listen to a DJ spinning at a club in Africa.

Radio plays the same 25 songs looped with a Host talking about stuff I could give a shit about and music I'm not into.

I guess it's all about the quality of the stream, connection and your sound set up.

If you just have the $50.00 speakers and a snails connection on a computer bought from walmart. I can see where it's a waste of time.
