I've always been an astroglide guy, but lately I've noticed all kinds of different lubes on the shelves and wondered if any of them are worth trying. Anyone have any recommendations?

I used to not care one way or the other as far as lube brands were concerned, but after trying Gun Oil I won't use anything else--a little goes a long way, feels great, lasts forever, never gets sticky.

:wank:I like a lube that lasts a while like Gun oil,Eros or any of the other silicone based lubes, but my favorite of all lubes for jacking-off with has to be Albolene. I love its slick greasy feel, it never gets sticky like water based lubes and a 12oz tub of it (that I can get at any local pharmacy cause its makeup remover) lasts forever

For what purpose?

Hand Job – from spit to the nearest lube… Ideally, Gun Oil
Pussy - Astroglide
Anal - Desensitizer
Underwater – Wet Silicone

I've been using Gun Oil for over 2 years now. Definitely my favorite.

Agreed. I'm curious to try Gun Oil because of all the good things I've read about it, but Albolene is relatively inexpensive, conveniently available at local drug stores, and a jar lasts a long time. Of course the downside to Albolene is that it's not condom or latex-toy compatible.

One problem I have with all lubes, especially greasy ones like Albolene, is that it's hard to masturbate and Web surf at the same time without getting lube on the mouse and/or keyboard.

Here's a good thread we had a while back on lubes.

I would add that although I sometimes enjoy using massage oil as a lube (e.g., safflower oil, almond oil, apricot oil, or a blend) after stroking for a while they tend to get hot--not in a pleasant way but in an irritating, burning kind of way.
