I've had thoughts of "Pigs in Space" floating through my head for the past day.

I'm wondering if anyone else has moments of muppet madness that come back to haunt them from time to time.

Anything involving the Swedish chef and Rudolf Nureyev dancing with Miss Piggy (check the package - his, not hers!).

Oh man!! When Beaker freaked out over something, I used to cry... from laughing so hard.

I also loved it when Miss piggy pitched a fit, and beat the crap out of someone.

AND, in the Christmas movie... When the Chef, chased those turkeys around... my god, he had an obsession!!

...although few people realize that the song by Piero Umiliani actually made its screen debut on the soundtrack to the Italian porn movie Sweden, Heaven and Hell (1968), during the lesbian bondage scene. I've never really been able to listen to it the same way since watching that particular cinematic 'gem'. :biggrin1:

My all time fav was with Gladys Knight singing "I Heard It Through The Grape Vine". She had a backup grape vine and huge clusters of grapes were the pips. I liked it when bandito lobsters raced in with guns blazing and rescued a lobster from the swedish chef.

My all-time favorite skit was when the Swedish Chef tried to make a chocolate mousse.

You just can't get a moose into a blender.

A friend told me once that they did a rendition of "For What It's Worth" by Buffalo Springfield. Anyone else catch this? It would be PRICELESS.

"Think it's time we stop. Children, what's that sound, everybody look what's goin downnnnnn".

I always had a soft spot for Fozzie, especially his attempts at public performance, because I was a piano/violin playing kid. Gonzo's attempts at being recognised for his natural gifts always had me giggling on the floor as well.

I used to do Jim the Eagle impersonations in class, which were probably one of my most popular impressions. I'd forgotten all about them, but life's misunderstood borderline-failures have always had a peculiar fascination for me. I guess they were brilliant in their own way for me to remember them now!

Ha! I used to need air every time Miss Piggy karate chopped someone/thing. Inparticular when she got confused with the swedish chef about where her dog was when the SC was cooking hot dogs.

Animal's going nuts always made me laugh, especially when he found a kindred spirit in Jim rocco. Lew Zealand and his boomerang fish were a riot, considering it was a no talent. Beaker's bug eyed panic stricken face and voice when Dr Bunsen Honeydew(Shit, I don't know thats spelled correctly, ah well!) fucked up an experiment was priceless.

Statler & Waldorf I wouldn't hesitate putting in the worst retirement home in the system the way they relentlessly heckled the show.

Gonzo's attempts to be a daredevil were affable since the better majority of them were always testament to Murphy's Law.

And by the way there, Hypo, not to be a smart ass, but it was Sam the Eagle.

Oh I like like like any kind of ass, breasts scare me a little though.

YES SAM, I remember now, I was just a lil guy when I saw it all.

Sam: "I am dis-gusted.. "etc etc

He was a great character. He articulated the sentiments of of nearly all the adults (well school teachers and school friend's parents) I knew at the time.

Thanks for reminding me about Jim. I have that thing where I know so many people with those guy names it's all a blur, and it's been a long day. But I love knowing I have it right now! You're clever and purty. Thanks:wink:
