I'm a bit worried and think that I need to see a urologist. All of a sudden I stopped having the urge to masturbate every night. I think about sex a lot but it feels like the nerve endings in my penis are dead. I have little sensation.

When I masturbate I feel like peeing when I cum always. If I penetrate myself I just feel a pressure in my penis and then feel like peeing instead of cumming. I wonder if it's enlarged prostate. Then I google and worry that I have multiple sclerosis etc. When I cum it feels average and I don't get a proper high. I get some relief from discharge but not like it used to be 2 years ago. I wonder if it's an underlying covid anxiety etc. But I'm not depressed or overly anxious despite being busy at work.

I was with a guy the last day and came. I was sure that I was going to pee but just came. I tried contacting a few urologists during the week but they didn't respond. My GP just put me on testosterone cream for the past 3 months. It is ok and I wake up with an erection. When I wank i have no real sensation but as i am close to ejaculation it just feels like i am going to pee. When i finger myself my bum does close around my finger and I have some sensation but not like before. I am 48 years old and feel that I'm too young to lose my drive. Guys older than me are still having a great sex life.

I am very anxious. I hope that there is no brain atrophy etc. I know you'll tell me to just go to a doctor. I'm just a bit frightened so posting this message. I don't have to pee during the night but when I do pee I never really feel that I'm empty. It feels like I always can dribble a bit more out. Any advice? Is it a urologist I should see rather than a GP?

I hope that it is just an enlarged prostate which is treatable and not a more serious issue. I miss the relief that I used get when I would cum. Now it's a major anticlimax and I'm losing my confidence in the bedroom.
I really, truly hope you feel better and get your sensations back in order.

i had that issue years ago-- and what was even crazier was that sometimes when i pissed and shook it couple times i would go to put my dick back in my pants and feel head of my dick--it would feel slimy/slick like it was precum--as time went on those feelings got worse and worse to the point it hurt to piss--so i went to get checked out--turned out it was a uti ----(urinary tract infection)-- the doctor said ive had it for a while---- i had to stay there with a iv of antibiotics wait 1 hour and piss--if the results werent what they wanted--they ran another thing of antibiotics through me body---

three hours later i never felt so much better in my life

someone mentioned prostate issue--do you know how to check your prostates?stick finger inside our rectum almost all way in and feel toward your ballsack--if dont feel a lump there then in good shape--if there is a lump-- and its been there a while go to doctor let him check it out--

and they say guys in mid forties upper 50s is more likely to get prostate cancer--bt i knew a guy 33 that has it should say had it and went through chemo

"Is it a urologist I should see rather than a GP?"

Never bother with an ordinary GP. Get an internal medicine doctor for your primary instead. Internal medicine might diagnose and treat something like that but would be more likely to refer you to a urologist.

In general internal medicine docs have the training to have a more complete picture of what's going on with your health and to know when to refer you on for a specialist diagnosis. GPs have less training and may miss things. I had an internal medicine doctor who, on hearing a very ambiguous set of symptoms described by me, thought "Let's refer you on to XXXX specialist" and we found a very early stage but unmistakable cancer. We were able to get rid of it via surgery, clean kill, a year later I was 100% like it never happened. If not for her, who knows where I'd be by now, 8 years later? Possibly dead. I don't think a GP would have spotted it.

Sorry you are going through this. My urologist told me that 50% of guys 50+ and 60% of guys 60+ have some sort of ED issue. Totally scary. I always had a great sex drive and don’t want to lose it either. Definitely go to a urologist. Mine has been great. He prescribed Cialis (generic) on a low dose every day and more an hour or two before I want to have sex or JO. It is also beneficial for enlarged prostate, and there is some evidence that it helps ward off Alzheimer's. Good stuff. He also recommended a nasal spray (from a compounding pharmacy) that is supposed to make orgasm better. I am on the fence about its efficacy. But in any case, get it checked out. Don’t just suffer in silence.

I usually feel like peeing when penetrating myself too. It’ll feel really good, I’ll be fully erect, but when I get close to cumming it just feels like I’m about to piss, even if cum comes out. I always wondered why cause I see guys cumming from penetration all the time. I can’t find much info on why, but I’m only 26 so it can’t be age. If you’re losing sensation and drive though as well you definitely should see a specialist.

It's a truth universally acknowledged (apologies to Jane Austen) that as we get older our body parts don't work as well as either they used to or we'd like. However if you're worried, I would see your GP and get a referall to a urologist. You're very lucky to not have to get up in the night at 48. However the fact that you feel your bladder isn't emptying completely is a potential cause of concern and, I would say, merits investigation. Hope all goes well. Good luck.
