Thanks for the walk down memory lane. I've had this exact conversation with my 2 kids (22 and 24) many times...I think it's their way of making sure I feel as old as they can make me feel.

I remember when phones were actually attached to the wall.....
I remember when gas was 29 cents a gallon
I know the difference between 33,45,and 78 rpm
I remember when the Milkman delivered milk to the milkbox on your front steps
Just a few off the top of my head.....[/quote] I remember all of that

I'm young enough to fit the description, but I've experienced all of these things. Does that mean that my mind is prematurely aging?
hahaha no but I would start looking out for grey pubes if I were you :biggrin1:

OK, this will be sad...

I remember American Telephone and Telegraph before the break up. Are you kidding me I worked for them!

I remember Carol Burnett and her signature ear tug each week. me too

I remember rotary phones and the first answering machines that lokoed like reel to reels.

I remember my dad's 76 Chevy Impala Brougham with the top of the line 8 track.

I remember polyester knit plaid (but I sure as hell don't miss it).

I remember when black was beautiful. I sported an afro in the 60's :biggrin1:

I remember great people like Anwar Sadat and Indira Ghandi.

I remember my youth. So do I, and it was grand!

DAMN! When the hell did OLD sneak up on me?

Hahaha... I was born in 1982 and even I don't remember some of those things. Who the hell is JR?

And I suppose saying the names Carrington and Channing you wouldn't know those without Googling them?

Bonus points if you know the Networks and how the families made their fortunes.

I remember using punch cards to program in FORTRAN.

I remember being thrilled at the video game "Pong"

I remember tailfins on cars and gasoline at less than 50 cents per gallon.

I remember the Zodiac killer and Patty Hearst's kidnap by the Symbionese Liberation Army.

I remember watching the 1969 Apollo moon landings on TV.

I remember the first LED pocket calculators that could add, subtract, multiply and divide.

I remember Pan American Airlines, Braniff, Western, Eastern, Hughes Airwest and PSA.

Yah I feel old.

A little bit, I was in the Bay Area for a business meeting and had dinner in a restaurant that had obviously been there awhile, when I saw a sign on a building that said San Jose City College, and I realized that after high school I started attending city college there 40 years ago.

When I first moved to NYC you could smoke in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

In ~1965 I went on my first flight at age ~9 and my dad took a picture of me in front of the plane. I have that picture: I was wearing a jacket! It was June and at West Palm Beach so the weather would have been quite warm.

The plane was an Eastern A/L 727 and the word "Whisperjet" is visible on the No. 2 intake. Anyone remember EAL calling their 727's Whisperjets?
