Female Attendants in Male Toilets

I think they have full time attendants because as the Council put it “to deter drug takers and lewd behavior” however you want interpret that.

Maybe they have mostly female cleaners because it’s harder to find men to do that job.

I suppose they expect us to regard either gender toilet attendants like we would either gender nurses, just accept they are doing a job.

I have seen urinals on the path near busy night clubs which are open and no privacy, I have read complaints about them. There was one on Prince of Wales road in Norwich (UK) near most of the busy nightclubs, but I think they are only used late nights when leaving clubs.

While I was visiting in Paris this year, I was surprised to find a male attendant in the female bathroom. It was down in the town Centre.

What was really funny was everyone was waiting in line at McDonald's - no not for the food but for the free toilets! (without an attendant) LOL

Funny thing is... I've never been in a restroom where there has been an attendant inside. I just don't see the purpose unless you're either incompetent or elderly (and usually thats the same thing)... and I don't mean that to sound insulting.

The only place I've seen restroom attendants has been some of the swankier Vegas casinos, they were always men, usually older. I might be surprised at first, but I wouldn't mind female attendants. Reminds me of the few uni-sex bathrooms in clubs decades ago.

yeah i have actually seen female attendants in the bathroom a few times. Its never bothered me much. I actually have had some pretty funny experiences with one who works in my office building. At my office we only have one cleaning lady and so naturally she cleans both the mens and ladies bathrooms. Generally she does it later in the day when nobody is left in the office. Anyway, one day i saw that she was in there cleaning but i really had to go, so i went in anyway. She was cleaning the floor next to the urinal but since i really had to pee bad i ran up quickly and took my penis out before she had any chance to excuse herself. In my visits out of the US, I never saw a female attendant in a restroom at all. Nor any in the US either.

I have seen groups of teenage girls in Ireland and the U.K. invade men's restrooms at clubs to use the loo when the female restroom was overcrowded. That surprised me a bit because I'd never seen the like in the US. Didn't really bother me, though.

Regardless, I can't see how it'd be an attractive job for a woman attendant to stand around in a men's restroom listening to guys grunting, farting, tinkling and all.

cus there are no open toilets in womens rooms

but if all the guys areas where closed stalls a female attedneant wouldnt' be bad

Never seen it. If a woman on the janitorial staff needed access to clean, she'd knock first and when the restroom was empty place a cleaning sign outside. I've rarely seen actual attendants in restrooms, and never a woman. I think generally guys wouldn't care, but there are bound to be some who would be uncomfortable with it. Why would a business hire a woman to such a position?

I've seen female restroom attendants in China and other places (don't remember where, actually) and there's always the male restroom attendants at the Charlotte airport. I don't like restroom attendants hanging around (they are not necessary, it's weird for me, it must be one of the worst jobs ever for them, etc.), male or female.

I think that women (female attendants) shouldn't be in the men's restrooms. Why should they be in there? I can understand it if it were female attendants in the women's restrooms.

I have too experienced this situation, while it really wasn't the most comfortable for me, it was really awkward for the teenage males in the restroom using the unrinals at the time a female was in there.

Female attendants sell packets of toilet paper (and like gum and stuff) in restrooms around Thailand. Doesn't bother me. Just wish they'd put toilet paper in the stalls. Odd is all.

Other countries do things differently than we do... In Europe, particulary France, there is usually an "old woman" "a hag" who keeps the loo very clean. 1 Frank donation expected.
Even the beach front WCs. They have seen it all and they have never bothered me. In Egypt there are men who offer paper, soap and anything you want, for 1 or 2 dollars -- real pests.

I’ve noticed a lot of male toilets now have female attendants; there are small signs as you go in if you happen to notice them.
Last week I went into some toilets on Great Yarmouth seafront and went into one of the cubicles. The lock wasn’t good, unknown to me at the time just a firm push and the door would open. After a couple of minutes in there I heard someone spraying cleaning fluid, I heard spraying in the next cubicle to me and then the door of my cubicle started to open, I gently pushed against the door to indicate it was occupied but the person pushed against me and opened it fully. To my shock there was a woman about late 20’s standing in front of me looking down at me on the loo, after a couple of seconds staring she said “sorry mate” and left.
I suspect she knew it was occupied as soon as she started to open the door, she probably even watched me go in. When I came out of the cubicle I stood and washed my hands near her by the sink and told her that she shocked me when I saw her standing there as I thought I had gone into the ladies by mistake.
A couple of days after I went in there just for a pee, I stood at the urinal and noticed she was sweeping up close to me, I held myself right out without being discreet, I quickly went semi erect and pointed it down so it looked like it was really long in a flaccid state. I struggled to pee like that as I knew she was glancing all the time and had a clear view.

How would other people here react?
