My two cents: for all the talk of inappropriateness and offensive behavior in Women's Issues, if an "Ask A Woman" forum is initiated on LPSG there will be duplicate results in that forum as well. Why? Because I expect the same actions to occur there that occur here.

Some of the women on LPSG who want an Ask A Woman forum feel that way because they have some valid issues with certain things posted in Women's Issues. They don't find those certain things appropriate for posting there--but they won't steer clear of the Ask A Woman forum, either. Even if they genuinely don't feel like entertaining questions or offering their opinion to some dude, they will inevitably go into an Ask A Woman thread to "spank" the male asker for being a big, testosterone-filled dumbass. This will ensue:

"Are you serious?"
"Did you actually think before typing that, or did your asshole grow fingers? Because you're talking out of your ass right now."
"Do you realize women are individuals, not statistics?"
"Do you really think we can speak for every other human being with a vagina just because we have vaginas, too?"

Sometimes, dudes get confused about life and want to ask questions to females to get a female perspective. Yes, they know that all women aren't the same. Yes, they know that they aren't going to find the meaning of life on a big dick site. They just want some input. An Ask A Woman forum would give them an outlet to get that input--but it won't be the tourniquet I think some LPSG'ers are looking for. It will become a soaked band-aid in a short matter of time.

Like I said, just my two pennies.

This is exactly how I feel. I also feel that if a woman wants to discuss women's issues she can easily find a women's board. This is a penis site. Large penises. This is not our board, this is a men's board we are part of. Thats my 2 cents. Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel or fit a square peg in a round hole why not just join one of the thousands of boards geared towards women?
We are never EVER going to stop men from being curious or wanting to ask us questions and yes often they're annoying and Im just as guilty as anyone else of getting impatient with the same dumb questions over and over but I try not to lose perspective of the fact that this is a men's board for men and their penises. Yes we are welcome here, but if the antagonistic attitudes prevail I wonder how much longer we will be.

no, this is not a mens board. this is a public forum.. open to all folks of age and of any orientation/gender identification.

eta: antagonistic attitudes.... no words. just ire.

ML I know you dont really believe that all women's websites relate only to birthing, recipes and pleasing your man. Do I seem like a doormat? I would never advocate women finding a little corner of the web and "knowing our place". Have you ever read cafemom.com? Thats not only a women's site but a women with children site and I've seen every range of topics from giving blowjobs to taking it up the arse.

Sigh.

MickeyLee gave a very eloquent response to the OP in another thread about why the women here are not obligated to answer anyone's questions, provide insight, divulge personal experience, etc.

Create an 'ask a woman' sub forum and any women that choose to answer your questions will do so. I'll be perfectly honest though... 90% of them, I probably still wouldn't answer because I am not here as a commodity or a resource to be 'tapped'. I am here for my own entertainment and will therefore only invest my time in the threads that draw me in, or respond to people who have also invested.

We're not stupid, we can navigate the forums. If there is a particular topic where a woman's insight is sought, post it in the appropriate forum and menton that you are particularly interested in responses from women. You might get responses, you might not, but it's not an entitlement anyway so what do you have to lose?

What is very unlikely to get a positive response is trying to shove the 'requests' down our throats. As things stand now, it's a sub forum for women's issues and men are welcome to join in on the discussion of women's issues. If the changes the OP suggests are made, I suspect that the ladies would post in WI less in favour of the Real Ladies social group where there are NO wanktastic threads. No-one wins.

There is another option of course. Instead of trying to force the women here to answer questions or provide insight, why not invest some time getting to know them and cultivating friendships? The guys/gals that I'm close to on here... I would answer pretty much anything they asked because I like them and feel comfortable with them. Of course there is mutual respect and an observance of boundaries. If you can't be arsed putting in any effort, then neither can I.

This thread leaves a bitter aftertaste.

Intelligent, wise, and also very beautiful. A killer combo.

*but pretty shite at chinese burns*

So what exactly is the reason the mods don't make an Ask a Lady section? Or an Ask a Man section, for that matter, which is also a good idea? The demand is obviously there. The coding isn't difficult.

Why the stiff-arm delay from the moderators?

Creating a seperate thread "ask a woman" seems to be at least on the right track. Women who do not wish to be bombarded by ego induce questions, can choose not to visit this thread. Any such threads that are invasive to the womens issues threads can be moved to there.

Absolutely. AND it should be called "Mens issues with women".

:gives2::gives2:i mean really... let the women have their "Issues" forum. Could it be any more plain to the men here what the hell it is for? I have to say most men don't seem to get a very simple conceptual title. Women's issues is women's issues is womens issues. :nutkick:

I think that an 'ask a woman' thread is a great idea. However, I don't like the idea of changing the current thread title. Let's leave it as it is and just add the Ask a Woman area. I hope folks realized however that newbies aren't all going to take the time to read & search the forums and try to find the most appropriate place for their question or. Just being realistic. People are lazy. Is it not the Mods job to move thread when they are in the wrong area? WTF

What's frapping?

I agree with both Seaside and Tee&A.

It's no wonder why members are suggesting another avenue, if only to escape the continual hostility of this one. Some of the responses to OlderGuy's OP were completely uncalled for. MickeyLee, you should seriously have that sand in your vagina removed. It was just a suggestion, relax, not the end of the fucking world. Or maybe you should take your own advice and ...

eat a bucket of fuck.

Bravo MickeyLee for not only answering tonnes of questions during your years here and constantly pushing for another avenue, e.g. the long promised 'ask a woman' sub forum, but also being the only one who has had the initiative to do something about it. Not to mention accomplishing all of the above with a sandy vag, which is pretty damn distracting. You rock babes

Ditto that applause lady. Great idea. Great new thread!
