Do any of you lovely girls know of any boards specifically for women to get advice from?
I'd google it but just know I'd come up with a humungous amount of porn so thought I'd ask if any of you knew of some good ones first
Thx!
help.com is pretty good general board, I bet it has a female board
i was thinking of starting lbsg.org (large breast support group) ;-)
I've yet to come across one where there doesn't seem to be a board 'agenda'.
For example, a pregnancy board I joined had a core group of posters who were natural childbirth advocates. Nothing wrong with that, but when other people posted about having interventions or wanting pain relief these women ganged up and tried to make them feel bad for not wanting to be 'Earth Mother' or some such shit. There was no respect for individual preference. When I posted about my c-section I was commiserated with far more than congratulated on the birth of my child. That annoyed me.
There's a French board aufeminin.com that I read sometimes that doesn't seem to suffer from the same problem, but maybe I'm just not picking up on the subtleties.
It depends on what kind of womans stuff you want to know about. I had a zillion questions when I was diagnosed with vulvar cancer a few years ago. The best forum I found was on yahoo. It's called gyn-gals. It deals only with female medical issues from the waist down. If you want info on breasts or mastectomies you will need to go elsewhere. Oh and they do not allow men on the site.

My wife goes there quite a bit and I lurk a lot hoping to gain some sort of insight into the workings of the female mind.
