That’s the best statement I can offer.

The gist of the now deleted post was that black people are racially predisposed to violence, and police are justified in racially profiling because of that. It had a bunch of right wing “statistics” along the line of “black people represent 16% of the population but commit 50% of all crimes”.....

Absolutely. Like I said, they cherry pick certain statistics to support that narrative while ignoring contributing factors (including drugs, gangs, poverty, lack of employment opportunity, and the disparate rate of targeting, profiling, arrests, prosecution, conviction, and length of sentencing, etc.).

Of course among them are certain sorts like the -------- we had here two weeks ago.

It goes without saying that, in a forum such as this, one's response to that sort of provocation has to be measured, in accordance with the "terms" and particularly considering that their GOAL may very well be to provoke the kind of reply that gets YOU taken out along WITH them.

Therefore one must ever be mindful to drastically CURTAIL one's response to that kind of thing from what it otherwise WOULD'VE been in NOT so polite company. (ahem)

But the truth is, even those who WOULDN'T consider themselves either a racist or a bigot have bought into the "black folk criminality" narrative as evidenced by a number of comments herein.

The human brain has a way of rejecting and dismissing facts that challenge long held beliefs. Of course this is how the world and science moves on and progresses, you need to reject all things previously thought once new objective data is found.
