I hope the fact that the entire thing from start to finish is on video and there are witnesses LIVE witnesses who saw the entire thing from start to finish and it is not all just the word of some lying sack of shit will make a difference this time.
Certainly no argument this time that the shooter "was just trying to protect himself" and how he was "getting his head bashed into the concrete"

Hardly the FIRST time a black man gets shot dead by answering a knock at his OWN fkn door:
Dallas police seek manslaughter warrant against officer who killed neighbor
One can only hope that to be the outcome of it all.
Protest by its very nature involves some degree of confrontation, especially when there are forces in place that deliberately provoke confrontation. Therefore, "peaceful", becomes somewhat relative.
No doubt there are those who'd say the Rosa Parks bus boycott, the student sit-ins of the 60's, the Freedom Riders, and the Selma protests were far from "peaceful" too.
It seems that the cop in question has ONLY been one for 4 years, barely past being a "rookie" and in that short 4 years she has ALREADY shot and killed someone else.
It seems like the default is always "shoot first and ask questions NEVER"
I am sure she will be on "paid administrative leave" AKA VACATION for about a year if not more all the while being free to work other "security" type jobs, concerts, clubs etc etc and then just before getting fired she will "be allowed to resign" when she already has another job in LE all lined up because she will STILL have "a clean record"
She must be Little Buzzsaw's "sister"
Really? I wasn't aware of that. The only other incident that's been revealed as of late was this one, in which she shot (but didn't kill) the "suspect." Dallas officer who killed man in home she thought was hers also shot suspect in 2017It seems that the cop in question has ONLY been one for 4 years, barely past being a "rookie" and in that short 4 years she has ALREADY shot and killed someone else.

Dallas Officer Charged in Killing of Neighbor Could Face Other Charges, Prosecutor Says
Prosecutors in Dallas will present their findings to a grand jury in the case of a police officer who fatally shot her neighbor in his apartment, raising the possibility that she could face additional charges, including murder.
A day after the officer, Amber R. Guyger, 30, was charged with manslaughter, the Dallas County district attorney, Faith Johnson, insisted that the investigation into the death of Botham Shem Jean, 26, had not ended and that her office could seek charges “including anything from murder to manslaughter.”
“What I’m telling you is that the case is now in the hands of the Dallas County district attorney,” Ms. Johnson said at a news conference on Monday. “We’ll present a thorough case to the grand jury so that a right decision can be made.”
Dallas Officer Charged in Killing of Neighbor Could Face Other Charges, Prosecutor Says
This just gets more and more fucking confusing, I had just read they're going with manslaughter charges, period.
It's been a continual clusterfuck. Dallas PD pursued a manslaughter charge, but then handed the case over to Texas Rangers for supposed 'better transparency', and then Texas Rangers spent 3 days investigating I guess with no communication to the public or the family up to the point that they filed manslaughter charges yesterday so there's been even less transparency than when Dallas PD was working the case.
Anyways, that article is correct. She was charged with manslaughter, but the prosecutor is handing it over to a grand jury and it's possible they could upgrade it to second degree murder (but I really doubt that would happen.
Voluntary manslaughter (AKA crime of passion) still sounds like the most appropriate charge. Second degree murder would require some really damning eye witness testimony.
