figure modeling

I've done this sort of thing before and it can be very tedious, I compiled lists in my mind to transcribe later and did memorization for theatre work etc... Sometimes I just let my mind wander and daydreamed about people and places etc.

I've been on the other side of the pencil and drawn...and I'd love to draw more, but never modelled.

I've been there in college. Best advise is to relax!! Probably best to J/o before you go to be even more relaxed. Best wishes!!!

Definitely jerk off. In art school we had one male model that that got a boner that wouldn't go down. Make sure your clean (everywhere). Be comfortable in each pose. 20 minutes can become an eternity. Practice poses in front of a mirror. Have a good variety of poses, standing, reclining and sitting. Perhaps take some props with you. The students will pick it up if you're nervous. Depending on how much experience they've had with a model chances they'll already be nervous.

Have fun.

Definitely rehearse some poses in a mirror. If you know any (gentle) yoga breathing exercises, they help the time slip by as well as helping with nervousness. They're designed to be done while you're holding a pose, after all.
