What other games would you have put on the list? I liked Manic Minor meself (early 80s lol).

Think the results are announced tomorrow.

Results of BBC's 'Greatest Games Ever' poll announced yesterday...

BBC - Radio 1 - Big Games Weekend

FFVII - came third. :)

Not sure how reliable it is though - since Footie Manager 2009 was voted 2nd best game of all time, lol.

Bah, some of these surveys are inaccurate, anyway

Ever hear of 'The Godfather' and 'The Dark Knight' survey? Blasphemy, that was!

A FFVII remake will mostly likely be on a hand held. In fact it may be released on the PSP for download if SE let's Sony do it, and so they wont have to remake anything, because people will be paying for the same game, but on the PSP. I don't actually have to do that since I have a hacked one, so I can just make my own PSX rips to play. The only downside to a remake is all of the annoying fans that will come out.

I am looking forward to FFXIII for PSP, and Dissidia. However more recently I've become obsessed with a not so RPG series. And that is Monster Hunter. Everytime I saw it in a store the dinosaur aspect always made me pass it up, and I didn't read too many hot reviews. But I decided to watch some gameplay videos, and I was really impresed. It's really big in Japan. But of course it is also a lot easier for them to play with other people because gaming culture is more prevelant there, and of course there are a lot of people in not a lot of space. One thing I love about it is how you have no level. Your attack and defense is purely based on your weapon and your armor, which you have to craft from monsters you kill and harvest from. And there is a lot of variety in weapons and armor. 14 different types of weapons and a set of armor for just about everything you can kill.

Had a word with my little sis (18) the other day - she's an avowed FF-luvva. Says she'd love to play all the way through FF again, just to see it with brilliant graphics. She wouldn't want them to change things much because other than the graphics, everything else is still great.

If they do go ahead with this plan, I hope they don't change the story too much, or leave it 100% as it was when it was freshly-released in 1997

they might make some changes to the story like in the original Vincent and Yuffie were extra characters, you didn't need to get them to continue on

Might be rather difficult to splice-in a vampire-like guy and a hyperactive ninja into FFVII's story, methinks :biggrin1:

well you have to have them included since they are key roles in the story after so I think they should change the story to include them at main characters not optional

Given that Aeirth dies, it might be reasonable to include just one of them as a main character.

After all, getting the lock combination for Vincent isn't easy, but Yuffie is significantly easier to acquire

well Vincent you have to because of his story with Hojo and his former love is Sephiroth's mother, plus if you see the secret ending in Dirge of Cerberus

Link? It is being re-released on the PlayStationNetwork, though, as a direct port. Final Fantasy VII E3 PSN Trailer by CRONICK

*yawn*

Given that my TV is too old to play PS1 games in color, this is a plus-point :biggrin1:

And my brother just won a free PS3! How neat is that?

The little bastard just drank two cans of coffee, and his receipt gets pulled for a free PS3
