I thought 12 was pretty good actually - the best after 7 and 9.

But it isn't the same as it used to be tho, I admit...i do miss annoying random battles, lol. Also, the feel of 12 was slightly reminiscent of Tomb Raider for some reason...

PS: Just remembered - the best FF tune EVER is 'Black Mage Village' from FFIX :biggrin1:

I was more partial to Fran for her Welsh accent (she was an interesting character, too, with the story dealing with her sisters) and Basch, cause he really epitomized the thankless knight.

Love Fran. She was my favorite. I actually still haven't finished the game. Ha. Hate grinding. I believe I was close to completion though. I was in that maze like level where there are these statues and they deactivate game mechanics and you can like choose the "take away all magics" one or "take away all weapons" one. I just hate that stage though and very unmotivated in trying to figure it out. Ugh. Plus I'm sure I'm not ready for the next boss battle probably and plus after you take a break for as long as I have, you have to relearn certain game mechanics. Hopefully I get back to it soon though. I still never finished the last battle in Final Fantasy X-2. Yeah, I'm bad.

You have to play it. It was a ground breaking game in the franchise and in general and a huge favorite of many, including me. One of the best stories and fiercely character driven, which Final Fantasy XII was not. You really care about the characters.

And it has aged nicely. I just went back to start playing it again late last year when my XBOX 360 Red Ringed and for someone like me who finds it EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to play old dated looking games, I had no trouble getting back into it. Was very nostalgic for the short time I played it. My XBOX 360 got repaired and came back so I put the game back aside but I just must get back to it again one day and you need to get to it YESTERDAY.

You have your mission. NOW GO!
