I've been posting here over the past few months about my erection problems. I had slightly high bp and some low hormone blood tests. I took care of the bp and the hormones stabilized eventually but i still didn't have my rock hard erections, took way too much effort and constant stimulation to get hard. I have a pretty healthy lifetyle and I am very confident (through this whole thing too)

Ive been to a GP, urologist, endocrinologist, and now an orthopedic surgeon. All were useless except the orthopedic.

Gp, and urologist said everything was normal/in my head and gave me viagra samples, it worked but its not the same.

Who wouldve figured what I thought was a back sprain could kill my sexual function?

So here's the break through: I had a herniated disk that was pinching my nerves!

In the past 4 or so months, ive repeatedly hurt my back doing squats and lifting things. I am very strict on form and don't work out my limits so these injuries really surprised me. Turns out I probably got a hernia and reinjured it. I always let time for the pain to go away before resuming, but apparantly it wasn't enough for it to heal. I freaked the last time i hurt my back, half my penis lost sensation for a few days and terrible pinched nerves down my leg.

I havent lifted any weights in about 6 weeks and this past week, my erections are back to normal!!!! I don't have to think about stayin hard, it just stays! Im still not cleared to lift yet, but i will be listening to doctors advice.

I FEEL LIKE A MAN AGAIN!!!!!!!

Congrats FAK! Nick only knows "what to do with a herniated disc..."

"what to do with a herniated disc!!..."

from what I hear - he's trying get off "SAILORS" but that's his business and I don't want to go there...

Peace!

Really pleased to hear that " Normal Service" has been fully restored. People don't realise what effects the spine has on the body and how much we take it for granted. It pays to treat your back with respect.

Did any of your medical advisers recommend starting a light stretching and daily yoga routine to your physical regime? The medical evidence is in that proves the slow introduction of a daily yoga routine as part of your warm up can prevent the damaged disks from getting worse and in many cases almost return to them normal. Trust me, it's a bitch to deal with disk compression, slipped or otherwise, that leads to spinal stenosis when you get older. In fact, there are yoga routines designed specifically for healing and relieving stress for just the back. They work. Most orthopedists I've encountered would rather wait until you need a spinal fusion. There's more money in it than just recommending their patients learn to sit, lie down, and stretch properly. Good luck with that.

Congratulations, however, on getting it up and happy.

Let me throw a word of advice out there for you guys, embrace and enjoy your ability to have erections. I never really valued it until it was gone. I had a rough time without it.

Now that I am back to myself, I feel like i won a million dollars. I feel like superman!

I had an understanding and supportive girl the entire time and she helped me get through it. Its been great going back to hour long sex sessions!!
