I still can't wrap my brain around this. Sorry. I had a cleft lip growing up (surgically "fixed" when I was in high school), and the teasing/insulting prior to that just wasn't any fun.
I have to agree here, I got teased a lot in elementary school and that made me feel horrible about myself. Even now I don't handle criticism about my physical attributes well, so SPH is just really really confusing to me.
