I'd always thought when people were looking at my crotch it was because I bought lame clothing.

Then, after a few weeks at my new job, my manager started making comments about me:

"Hey --my name--, do you like ballet?"

"Here he comes. Look!" An office girl turns and looks at my crotch as I approach.

Another time, I was at the urinal and he actually glanced over the stall.

After all of this (and habitually focusing on buying clothing that shows less), I decided that I just don't give a fuck what others think about my bulge.

...unless it's of the female persuasion. That makes my day. :p

I really don't understand. What you're reporting is sexual harassment and is very much against the law. You should be documenting everything and setting an appointment with your manager's supervisor.

It's your call, but he'll just keep doing it and putting your company in jeopardy of a major lawsuit.

the supervisor should KNOW BETTER than to do what he did and to allow it to happen in the workplace. the company has erred in not training management about sexual harassment and, if they have, then the supervisor should be fired.

but if you enjoy the attention, let it be. but the "attention" probably get more intense and nasty.

Fer christ's sake...

Its not sexual harassment.

If I stare at a secretary because she's looks hot its NOT harassment. If I tell her she looks hot its not harassment.
If I ask her out its not harassment.

Its not harrassment unless my behavior creates a climate of intimidation.

Lighten the fuck up.

PS- if you look like you are smuggling anacondas in your pants... people are GONNA stare.

They are gonna peek at the urinal because they want to know if its something you are faking, or the real thing...

If a woman is walking around with 56 inch triple H tits... folks is gonna stare.
Get used to it...

The OP has the right attitude... ignore it and it will astonish you how little it matters.

At least in Massachusetts, it's probably not harassment if the OP does not feel harassed.

In Mass. employers are required by law to adopt and enforce a sexual harassment policy in the workplace.

Basically, if sexual favors are part of job retention or advancement, it's harassment whether or not the employee considers this harassment. This is also the case if sexual advances and behavior of any coworker towards a fellow employee make work-life hell.

But for less overt behavior from the boss or any other employee, it's about perception (from the link below, my bold):

While it is not possible to list all those additional circumstances that may constitute sexual harassment, the following are some examples of conduct which if unwelcome, may constitute sexual harassment depending upon the totality of the circumstances including the severity of the conduct and its pervasiveness:

  • Unwelcome sexual advances -- whether they involve physical touching or not;
  • Sexual epithets, jokes, written or oral references to sexual conduct, gossip regarding one's sex life; comment on an individual's body, comment about an individual's sexual activity, deficiencies, or prowess;
  • Displaying sexually suggestive objects, pictures, cartoons;
  • Unwelcome leering, whistling, brushing against the body, sexual gestures, suggestive or insulting comments;
  • Inquiries into one's sexual experiences; and,
  • Discussion of one's sexual activities.

it sure as hell is, and people get fired for that behavior. I suggest you wise up! :mad:

No, actually, I don't have to.

I am already wise enough to know how to treat other people, know how to joke with other people, and know how and when to flirt with other people.
I can discern an anal, self obsessed sexually repressed dipshit who can't deal with adult topics in an adult environment from 100 yards away... they don't get hired.

Rather, I prefer to surround myself with co-workers who are capable of dealing with the fact that other people don't always act like like you think they ought to... and who have a sense of humor about life.

I am sick and tired of the weak, fragile, lawsuit hapy pussies that havbe made the American workplace an insufferable minefield of Political correctness.

I won't have it.
And, frankly, counseling others to not only LOOK for offense, but to think about Cashing in on claims of offense is unethical and assholish...

Sorry fellas... Clarence Thomas did not belong on the bench... but he did NOT harrass Anita Hill. He asked her out... His approach was not the smoothest, he got shot down...
Big fucking deal.

Your boss implying that your job or a raise or pormotion depends upon a date... That's harassment.

Your co-workers being aware of the fact that you have a huge dick is not.

seriously... people look, people comment...

Grow a sense of humor and forget about it.

All this shit about sexual "Her ass"ment from a bunch of people on a PORN site. Probably three quarters of you assholes all stare at people at the office but never make a comment, Not only that but I am sure a good bunch of you clowns have fucked someone you work with, talk about a hostile work environment.

I agree about the lawsuits in this country, Let's sue McDonalds because I burned my twat on a hot cup of coffee I decided to put between my legs insted of in one of the many cup holders in their car.

One of my favorites. An asshole picks up his running lawnmwer and chops off his figgin fingers then turns around and sues the manufacture because they did not have a sticker on it tht says "Don't do this morons, You'll cut your fingers off" They won both cases.

I agree, Lighten up. How many times have I heard the woman at work talking about their periods every month, I don't run and file a complaint.

Phil, I love that you're not wishy-washy! I agree with this comment about political correctness. It's way out of hand. Our country has paralyzed itself with its own legal system.

I'm with you Giovani...

The thing is, Most of these Americans are not really offended... most are just looking for some way to cash in on the lawsuit lottery.

Lazy shits who are always looking for a shortcut.

At this point... it is the persons making the accusations who are most often guilty of harassment. They are terrorizing and controlling the workplace thru legal intimidation and threats.

That's why every one I ever hire gets sat down and asked to agree that this is a free speech zone- That if they find the workplace abusive they can bring it to me, or they can quit, but that they are not gonna get the job nor keep the job if I think they are litigious asswipes who think my shop should be run Their way...

Its been 25 years... and not a single lawsuit filed.

That is even more terrible.

If you look at where I live, you can understand that there is no such thing. I mean, it can happen, but grabbing a ass is not harassement here lol so just to say a something, I can't imagine.

But I can understand very well some people, woman I would say, go thru that and can become hard to work in a vicious enviroment.

But many time, I read the word ''sue'' (here) for no reason at all. I think we have to measure something before putting on act just a simple thing. If it really bother someone, you can just say: cut it off, and that should be fine. It's all about common sence.
