I got this tune from work that plays overheard I only know part of the words(Poor sound system), and I thought it was cool. But i don't know the name of it. I'm reasonably certain I could identify it by the notes, but that's it.

Anybody know any sites that could help me find this song?

there's an iPhone app that lets you hold the phone up to a speaker and then it will (supposedly) identify the song based on an analysis it does of it. i don't know if there's a program like that out there on the internets, but there might be.

I think there is an Iphone app where you can hum a melody and it will find the song. If you know some of the words you can find a site online that might be able to find it. Or Google "lyrics" and the words that you know.

As far as your thread title goes. Is that an order?

Well, i could probably sound out the 1st couple of notes on a piano, but after that, it's scattered lyrics and refrains I remember, so it may have multiple hits.

Incidently, if anyone feels lucky, go to this websiteForSongwriters, Singers, Producers and aspiring musicians ,
and put in the following numbers, left to right twice.

    7,6,5,
    2,3,4
    3,2,1,
    5.

Then the rest is scattered refrains and choruses, like "Know that you love me/ I love you. Know that you need me/I need you"

And see what you can come up with.

Go to google.com and type in the lyrics you know. And then put in the word "lyrics" afterwards. Like... "I see your true colors lyrics". That always works for me.

    Slow rhythmic

I've tried that- the hits I've got from them are too fast, and wrong pace

I appreciate the efforts, but I should've mentioned play the numbers I posted one second between each number.

That's only so helpful... the rhythm is pretty important with something like that. If only you could get some more lyrics out of your memory.

OK,OK, I just had blip on part of the refrain/chorus.

It goes something like, Gotta have/gotta help, or something like that.

Sorry! Poor sound system at work, and I just have time ot pay alot of attention

Even tho I like Pink, sadly no, this isn't it either. The song is played slower than that. And it's about three to four yrs old.

Close, but a slower contemporary beat to what I'm describing.
