My nanny Mrs. Fudge was from Yorkshire. She was all of five feet tall and had the sense of humor of a sailor (along with the mouth of one).
I miss her sorely.
Mrs Fudge is just about the most perfect name for a nanny EVER!
Better than Mrs Doubtfire?

When i was in bradford yesterday i saw two sets of people on horse and cart. One rag and bone man, and the other delivering coal.
Oh wow! Last time I saw a rag and bone man with a horse and cart in London was at least 15 years ago, and it seemed anachronistic even then. But nostalgic.

I'm thinking of going to Leeds at Christmas for 'Whippets On Ice!!!'....

I'd like to see horse and cart for local deliveries for the milk round etc
