Finn jones

Agree that he's easy on the eyes, but he all but destroyed Iron Fist in the Netflix-MCU. He is (imho) a sub-par actor. I wish he hadn't taken that role. I wasn't impressed with his performance in GoT, but I didn't read the series; no idea if he portrayed that character well or not.

At least he's nice to look at.

He more than made up for his acting in season 2 of iron fist. 90% of the feedback has been very positive.

I agree it was better, but I still struggled to believe him in the role. Understand that it's just my opinion on it, obviously. I know it was far more accepted than season 1. I think Jessica Henwick carries that show, particularly in season 2. Danny's end scene this season, in East Asia, was so hard to swallow. I wish they would have let him quietly exit the role and put a spotlight on Colleen as a new Iron Fist in the Netflix-MCU. It would be a departure from canon, but given the social-political environment these days, I think it could work very well and be positively received by fans.

Idk I really like him as Danny. Jessica’s character is ohk but a little boring to me. Misty is great tho. As far as the social political stuff people need to wake up to the fact that comic characters have huge fan bases and they want their characters to look and be like what they are supposed to be in comics. If you have a problem with it then you obviously were never a fan of the character in the first place and need to mind your own business.

Dude! Misty owned it in Iron Fist! I loved her character, even more than in Luke Cage. Iron Fist felt like her natural setting for some reason. And I do agree with you on certain aspects of keeping a character familiar to their canon origin, but they aren't limited to repeating the same stories and roles from the books. The MCU itself is a new evolution in bringing these characters to light and fame (through a different medium) that they didn't necessarily have in the comics. It's an opportunity to try new things and provide greater dynamics within an amazing portfolio. If anything, it'll earn them a wider, more diverse audience. The books will always be there for the nostalgia, of course, but it's a different era and Marvel has been doing a pretty decent job at rising to that challenge.

Everyone in the mcu looks identical to their comic counterparts. Fans don’t want different. Look at all the hell the new teen titans show is getting for casting that girl as starfire. Back to misty she kind of belongs more in iron fists show seeing how In the comics her and Danny are a long time couple and Colleen is her best friend and partner.

Change is always uncomfortable, particularly for fans who've planted deep roots in something that has been as notable and longstanding as the Marvel universe. But if Marvel only appeases that base it won't be sustainable. That is all I am saying. I am not a fan of Finn in the role, but I acknowledge that that is my opinion and others are welcome to their own. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, and I'm happy for all of those who're pleased with his performance in Iron Fist. I'm still going to watch the series either way bc I love the universe and like seeing it expand movie after movie, season after season.

I wouldn't stop watching the show if they got rid of Finn. What a terrible idea.
