    I can't wait to see how much they have improved it.

    I've been running the beta for some time now, and have noticed it's less prone to the memory leaking endemic to FFv2. Plus, I love the denial-of-redirect feature!

    I don't understand how Firefox is available for free. They can't make any money on it. I don't see any advertising either.

    I've downloaded it to update my latest version of Firefox. Now I'm waiting for the extensions to start working.

    I've given up on Firefox because I can't seem to get videos to play. Not sure what I need to do but it's annoying. I've started to use Flock, which is built off of Firefox. It has less extensions but I like it much more, it's like Firefox evolved: Flock Browser - The Social Web Browser

    I've only noticed the new look and feel - haven't noticed speed improvements yet - might be more obvious to some depending on bandwidth and cpu.

    I've noticed a vast improvement in the loading of pages on this site. Coupled with my trick add-ons, its great. But it still feels like waking up in a bed that's not yours.

    "They" in this case, are two entities:


    • The Mozilla Foundation, which is a legally registered non-profit corporation. As a non-profit, they can't make money off their work. There are a few ways in which the Mozilla Foundation is restricted from promoting Firefox (as well as Thunderbird and other Mozilla offerings), so there is a separate legal entity:
    • The Mozilla Corporation, which is a taxable corporation that handles a few issues involving promotion, internationalization, and product tie-ins that the Foundation can't legally perform. According to Mozilla,
    So, to answer your question: They're not making money off of it; that's not a goal of theirs.

    Interesting. I just downloaded FF3 and I was surprised that I did not have to restart
    my computer to use it. The only flaw so far was a problem with the Google
    toolbar (spellcheck)

    You get used to it...besides, depending on whose bed it is you awaken in, that's not altogether a bad thing. :wink:

    Many a drunken night I've been there Hazel, lol. Pleasant for the most part, but still weird. I'm finding it easier to use and manipulate pages in ways I couldn't with FireFucks 2

    No I know the GTB has auto-fill but does FF let you install it on it.
