Typical ? Is the guy on the DL or closeted? I've found that the guys who are DL, questioning, closeted, or dealing with guilt issues (from marriage, relationship, upbringing, religion, etc.) do the disappearing act the most. They'll keep doing it until they finally have the confidence and stop hesitating.
Oh, and sometimes it could be drugs or alcohol that makes them waffle or be unreliable.

I'm pretty sure he's out about it I had asked him and he just said it's nobody's business about his sexuality and more or less was making fun of me for being closeted DL bi just because of family and friends having no idea I just try to be very discreet
