The game isn't over yet, but the President is on the defensive. From day one of this election cycle we knew that if the economy was not progressing the President would be on the defensive in this debate.

I'm watching body language and facial expressions, of the two the President seems more composed. If Mr. Romney can erode that composure we'll see this thing slide away from the President.

That's cool, but I think the businessman knows what's keeping the economy down.
Have you ever had a real job? I'm in management for a company and we've had to cut payroll for every store. Why? It's because payroll is tied into sales at each location. If sales go up( customers are shopping) then we need more employees to assist them. If sales go down(people don't have money to spend) then in order to remain profitable payroll hours decrease and new hiring stops. It's not hard to figure out:rolleyes:

Google the meaning of red tie versus blue tie. Speaks volumes tonight. You go Mitt!

I didn't expect it and I didn't want it ... but I have to say that Romney clearly, unequivocally dominated that debate.
Romney grabbed the space and held it.
I don't know what happened to Obama, but he just wasn't quite present.

I've never seen Romney quite this effective; never seen Obama quite this limp.

Castellanos on CNN said it best for me, Romney wanted to be there tonight and it seemed like my brother Barry just didn't. I was surprised it was just a draw...a 50/50.

I can't wait to see the new ads from the Obama campaign. All they have to do is play back what Mitt said tonight and then play back how he said the complete opposite on several other occasions. There will be more flip flops than we saw during the Olympics gymnastic comps

I think Romney came out with more facts, statistics, and was better able to present his argument. I think Obama wasn't as prepared and relied more on appealing to people's emotions than providing hard facts. I do think Obama got a little more on stride towards the end.

I agree and I think what you've written is a fair assessment. I don't know if he's saving it for the next two but the President didn't seem in control the floor as leader of the free world. I was expecting he would drive home the very glaring discrepancy about what Mr. Romney says he wants to do about taxes/budget deficits and HOW he plans to do it.

I also don't think embracing "Obamacare" was appropriate for either candidate, but more to the harm of the President who should have corrected the usage and pushed the actual name since it represented a mandate from the people vice a personal crusade.

I didn't like Mr. Romney's leering smile as he listened to the President talk his points or refute those of Mr. Romney. That was off-putting for me.
