First thing you do in a hotel room?

I guess the wanking generally comes later, or sex if with someone else, but what is the first thing you do when entering your hotel room?

Mine is fairly mundane, I always seem to have a big fart first. After that I rifle through all the cupboards and drawers, then look for the room service menu.

What do you tend to do first, especially if on your own?

last time I stayed in a room I just got done driving in a car with 5 other people and we put on 800 miles that day. I was behind the wheel 80 percent of the time. I had my own room, I wanked off in the shower then I got service to bring me something to drink and got a buzz then got under all those covers and was out like a light. The next thing I knew my friends were knocking on the door to get me up I slept 8 straight hours. For some reason there was a do not disturb hanger on the outside of the door and I never found out how it got there.

Turn on the lights
Fold back bedspread (hotel bedspreads get washed maybe once a month)
Open draperies
Adjust thermostat
Turn on television
Place suitcase on luggage rack
Check to insure bathroom is clean and mold/mildew free
Check room service menu
Leave wakeup call

Scoop up all the goodies, if they are in fact good. Then look for the maid cart and get more goodies. I have a few Flamingo Hilton, Planet Hollywood Hotel items I got while in Vegas last year.

If I'm there for a while, I unpack; I hate living out of a suitcase.

Then I take a shower, get dressed and explore the hotel and its environs.

Having said that, I tend to start with checking the bathroom to make sure no one left me a "surprise" in the toilet.:frown1:

stumble backward across a dark hotel room until we bump into a random horizontal surface.

NJ, I do have to say... that those bedspreads don't get washed every month, it's an as necessary thing. Just sayin... lol

Check to make sure I have enough towels, hangers etc.

I spray everything down with Lysol disinfectant spray - EVERYTHING!

First is the bed, comforter, then I peel back the comforter and check the sheets, then spray.
Second, I proceed to spray the drawers.
Third, I spray and wipe with a handwipe or hand sanitizer, the phone, the remote, etc.
Fourth, I spray the entire bathroom.
Fifth, I open the curtains and check out the view. If I can open the windows or the sliding door, I will to air out the room.
Sixth, I unpack my belongings, hanging up clothes, and putting other items in drawers.
Seventh, I unpack toiletries.
Eighth, I shower and tidy up.
Nine... that is enough...

Yeah, I am OCD...

Check wardrobe space & drawers.
Unpack.

Then pour myself a large vodka & tonic, sit on the terrace and finally, relax!

Damn I need a holiday!

Anyway, I always jump on the bed a few times, turn on the TV, lie back and take a breather, especially since I have been driving.

OK, for me it depends how long I'm staying - if it's just one or 2 nights then I don't unpack and just get out my toiletries and hang up the 'creasables'

But first things first....

walk in to room
choose which bed I'm sleeping in (if there's 2)
look out the window
check out the bathroom
open my suitcase and unpack the necessaries
Open up laptop and get on the internet
charge phones/iPods
Chill
