So umm, this is embarrassing...

I've never done anal before, or explorered that area, and I'm not currently looking to date so I thought that I would try a toy for the first time. I was going to buy the Austin Wilde dido but saw the reviews that said "not for beginners". So I guess I'm looking for advice and recommendations.

Do some searching in this message forum, there's a bunch of threads discussing people who wanted to buy their first butt plug, dildo, etc. Lots of recommendations.

The most important is to get a high quality silicone or metal toy -- there's lots of super cheap "jelly" and other soft plastic toys that are dangerous because they're made from cheap plastics that leach chemicals that are actually toxic to your most sensitive membranes. Basic rule of thumb: if your toy smells like plastic, that's the chemicals leaching out and it's no good. Similar if the toy says "not for insertion" then throw it away.

Always start small, use lots of lube, then work your way up as you get comfortable. You should never have pain, never force anything, and do not be in a rush to jam it in or you will not have a pleasant experience. It should take you a couple of weeks of daily movement from small to medium to larger before you can really work up to pornstar sized dongs.

Thanks for the reply. I was going to stick with silicone anyway. I will also search through this forum.
