Hi! I am 18 years old, and I have a pretty major problem. My penis size...

Normally it is very, well... you'll see in the picture. I am very concerned because I know this is not normal. It's like barely anything hangs out or down. It's just.. there. Sometimes its in even more. It can be very uncomfortable and I often find myself trying to adjust my penis while sitting down or wearing my jeans when walking. Also when my penis is erected it is a little over 4". That's obviously very small. Why is this? Is there anything I can do, and will it always be like this? Because the penis generally stops growing at the age of 17-18.

I'm not sure of how much help anyone someone can give about this situation but any comments, suggestions or theories that you all might have would be appreciated. Sympathy is welcomed. - lol -

The camera angle certainly degrades any clear and interesting view of this love muscle. It also appears that you may have some excess weight! Just my observation for an 18 year old.

You know yourself better than anyone who can view this pictue. Please consider consulting your Doctor. They have seen and heard of all kinds of problems and are in business to help resolve problems. By the way, I am not in the Medical Profession, but I have a great faith in Medical Doctors. You must put this problem to rest.

If you have any brothers, you may also be able to ascertain if this is a family trait.

Do your research, seek a Doctor's assistance and put this problem behind you so that you may be able to proceed to have a normal life.

At your age, you should not have to have concerns about your pleasure pipe, love muscle or what ever else your peer group calls the penis.

I wish you well and offer this advice as a possible assistance to you.

Thanks. Yea it really doesn't bother me too much just brings a lot of curiosity and I'm and embarrased to talk to anyone.

Did your puberty start at an average age (11 or 12), or was it perhaps delayed? I had a late-starting puberty and had a minimal penis all through high-school. Mine continued to grow well past 18 though, on into my early 20's until it finally achieved a pleasing 7.75" x 5.5" hard. Don't count yourself out yet.

the problem is most of the guys here can't give you proper advice because they don't know this problem. Think there are better places for searching help in your particular case.

Talk to your family doctor, and get a refferal to a urologist. There MAY be some endoctrine issues involved, and he is the only one who can have the appropriate tests involved, take a complete history, etc., to help you determine if you have a problem, or are just normal for YOU. While your size isn't like many on here, you certainly are well within the range considered "normal". You certainly don't qualify as having a "micropenis". Get a professional opinion, and get it soon--once you leave your teens, any such issues are usually not treatable, if there ARE any issues. Get the answers, accept them, and deal with them. Then move on with your life and enjoy it.

I truly sympathise but to be blunt - you may grow a little more but the odds are not in your favour.

A four inch erection is no more abnormal or unusual than a 7 inch erection. Many guys seem to think that it is their birthright to have at least 6 inches and then count any more than that as a bonus. Sadly - if that is the right word - there are as many guys with dicks smaller than average as there are guys with longer than average erections. That's what average means, of course.

A 4 inch erect penis is big enough for all it is designed to do and it is within the average range though at the lower end.

I know of nothing that will guarantee a reliable, significant and permanent increase in penis size - pills, surgery, pumps, special stretching techniques, exercises or whatever. In my practice as a sex therapist I had patients who tried different ways and some claimed some success but most remained disappointed.

A smaller than average penis is not due to hormone insufficiencies unless the testicles are small and there is limited or absence of pubertal development.

Penis size is a multigenetic inherited characteristic. You may know of guys on both your father's and mother's side of the family with smaller dicks but simply knowing that you are smaller or larger than a brother or father or uncle or cousin is neither proof nor confirmation of inherited predisposition to smaller or larger size of erect penis. Neither does such evidence refute or disconfirm it. BTW many of the genes for penis size (as with predisposition to baldness) are carried on the mother's contribution to DNA. It seems illogical that you owe much of your penis size to your mother but it happens to be true.
