Flaccid tips?

    Hey everyone. I'm just started PE through exercises (jelqing, etc. (specifically through the "Matters of Size" program)) and it seems like I have a really hard time NOT getting hard. This isn't a problem per say, but since the exercises require a flaccid or only semi-erect state, it does get annoying after a while. Anybody have any tips to stay flaccid/not get erect during these?

    I have the exact same problem, after about 25 jelqs I get a hard on, so I now watch something on the tv while I am doing it to keep my mind off it.

    It seems to work well

    I think the more you do PE, the less you'll get the problem as your cock gets used to it.

    Normally I put a hot warm-up cloth on it till it goes down a bit.

    You'll get used to it. Besides pausing to allow your erection to subside, ejaculating a short while before your workout will keep you from getting too erect as well.

    These are all really good ideas. I will definitely put them to work!


    I thought I read somewhere on here that masturbating can lead to a loss of gains after doing exercises/jelqing. So if I do so BEFORE and not after, I'm in the clear?

    I posted this response to a similar discussion in another forum- hope this helps:

    If you're looking to abstain from ejaculating for whatever reason, you should know that any built up semen (from "edging", sex, masturbation, etc.) that isn't expressed through ejaculation will be voided the next time you urinate.

    I often advise men that are having problems with getting too erect during their PE sessions to ejaculate about 15 minutes prior to their workouts. This advice usually led to improved workouts!

    The key to being able to ejaculate after a PE session (a painful must for some men) and it not affecting your gains depends on the exercise sequences that you perform AND the fitness level of your penis-
    -If you've been doing progressive stamina work for any length of time, a mere ejaculation should not affect your penis badly enough to affect gains
    -If you finish your workout with the "Stop and Start" [an exercise that ends in ejaculation], you will have expanded the tissues and driven more blood to your penis than had you not done anything at the end of your workout
    -A properly performed cool down using hot wraps will drive the blood back into the penis
    -You can also do erect kegels throughout the day to negate any of the blood draining effects of ejaculation
    -You may even try wearing a cock ring after you ejaculate to avoid your penis fron shriveling up entirely.
    As you can see, there are ways around this issue.

    I am aware of the Chinese study that shows a spike in testosterone levels after 7 days of abstinence. What I don't understand is why so many men, after reading this study, would subject themselves to abstinance in the hope of making gains! If you read through the study, you'll note where it states: "No regular fluctuation was observed following continuous abstinence after the peak." It should also be noted that additional testosterone in your bloodstream will not increase your penis size if you are a healthy adult.

    Do you wish to raise your testosterone and growth hormone levels at will? EXERCISE! Regular exercise, especially intense whole body exercises like squats and deadlifts, will raise your testosterone and GH levels.

    Ejaculate is composed of seminal plasma and [by a small percentage of volume] sperm. The actual hormonal content in semen is quite small.

    Most professionals agree that a healthy sex life INCREASES hormonal output. The genitourinary system is like any other set of organs in the body- use it or lose it!

    If you're trying to maximize penile blood flow, you should try to avoid consuming caffeine and other vasoconstrictors. Theses substances will cause much more harm to your progress than any ejaculation would! If you need to consume these substances, do so several hours before or after your PE session.

    Last night, I tried out the suggestion of watching tv while doing PE and (much to my relief), it helped quite a bit! I would still get hard (of course), but it was much less often than otherwise. I haven't tried masturbating 15min beforehand but will definitely crack that can open if need be.

    Day one of PE DOWN! I must say, though I am an impatient guy, it does feel good to know that at least I'm pursuing my goal and sticking with it. That's why my name is "5to9": where I am and where I wanna/I'm gonna be. Cheers.

    What is the "stop and start" technique that you talked about Big Al in your previous post?
