well, it made ME laugh. To be frank, i like seeing people behaving badly when it is for good reason. They have the right to free speech. What Hart said about Regan and his policy on dealing with AIDS is accurate and he and others don't want the public to forget how he failed the gay community.

The reception at the White House was, the disgraceful behavior of these few was not.

You diminish yourself and the validity of your cause by engaging in behavior like this as an invited guest to the home of our Presidents.

keep that in mind in a few years or so when its obamas picture is getting flipped the bird by racist tea baggers and Greedy Oppressive Profiteers on a white house tour.

What would the crazy leftists do with Reagan and time machine. Go back in time and close all the gay bars and bath houses? Maybe you would prefer he used executive powers to intern gays in camps and force blood testing on them. I was out in the 80s, I never once saw Reagan pick up a new guy at the bar. Oddly enough in was UNDER REAGAN when it became ok to be gay. Not that he did anything to cause the change. Neither party changes the culture, they just pass laws to pander to the change and take credit for the actions of millions of other people.

Keep what in mind sport..this is highly deplorable regardless of whose portrait it is done to. I'd drag out by the ear any numskull who defiled the residence in this way, they're loathsome children.

Unfuck your twisted political attitude for two seconds and actually defend something from your American heritage. These morons used the groundbreaking reception by our President to stage an undignified, disgusting and selfish photograph which will undoubtedly solidify more resentment towards the gay community in general.

This is prideful foolishness and there is ZERO defense for it.

Stand on peoples rights long enough and stuff like this happens. The white house had always been a focal point for protest against government repression and inaction. As it should be.
Nobody got hurt over the photo op. Get over it.

reagan was big enough to have laughed it off if he was still alive, you should too.

Tamati, you and I don't often agree, but in this case we seem to be in complete agreement. Reagan would have taken the opportunity to make some comment about freedom of speech and expression, and publicly chuckled about it. Probably would have made some self-deprecating joke about it, too. Love him or hate him, the man had wit.

It's easy to support speech with which you agree...much harder to support it when you're in disagreement. I personally find their behavior despicable, but I do stand up for their right to do it.

He may have been able to laugh at it and make a witty comment if he were alive to do so, instead it's a hollow and pointless attack that makes these people feel better.

what ignoring AIDS and letting thousands die? yeah I agree... completely classless.

The government should stay out of people's bedrooms. Only if the national blood supply would be at risk should the government step in. And in regards to the free speech defense, there is a time and place for everything. I would have thought it would it would be more appropriate to flip the bird at Hollywood for promoting unsafe sex.

Combating aids with medical research and funding IS NOT "the government being in peoples bedrooms".
If aids had been a "str8" disease the guberment would have jumped into action and done everything in its power to fight it. Condoms would have been air dropped over large cities and handed out in every school.

(But you are right, the government should stay out of peoples bedrooms and let any sex adult mary any other sex adult.)
