Flomax- How Long Before Ed Disappears?

Somebody suggested to me that I try Flomax to help with shy bladder (paruresis). It is available over the counter (no prescription) near where I live.
I note the side effects described, erectile dysfunction; reduced libido; internal ejaculation etc. and that they occur to different extents in different people.
I am just wondering if I try it and I dislike the side effects, how long after I stop taking it would it take before the side effects wear off?
Is there any danger that the side effects could become permanent?
Thanks to all responders, but I am mainly looking for people with real-life experience of using flomax.

I used it for a long time for prostate issues. Only issue was sometimes ejaculate into the bladder instead out the penis. Friend used it also and that was his only issue

landlord/housemate/(playmate, not really partners) has had Flomax Rx for decades and it apparently relieved/alleviated the prostate swelling ("good" flow now) and certainly NO ED -- he's constantly horny -- so apparently "side effects" are an aggregate of ALL in the test who experienced ANYTHING and possibly not truly Flomax-related.

I was given Flomax years ago when I had some temporary prostate trouble. It did not cause impotence--I could still get hard. However, I could not ejaculate after a few days. There simply was not enough force to push the semen out, and I guess it would go into the bladder. This was a problem, because the doctor had told me I needed to ejaculate at least daily to help with the prostate trouble, and it wasn't certain that I was able to do that with the Flomax. So, the doctor had me stop using the Flowmax, and within a couple of days I could ejaculate normally again. So there is little risk to trying it, you will be back to normal shortly after you stop if you don't like the results.

The doctor switched me to Terazosin (Hytrin), which in the USA is much, much cheaper than Flowmax, and does not interfere with ejaculation. There are some side effects of Terazosin, particularly with the first dose, which tends to cause a sudden drop in blood pressure, so is best taken before bed. However, if you are taking a small dose, the side effects soon go away. However, at much higher doses (which I needed for a while to keep the prostate in check), it can cause all sorts of weird erection problems, impotent at one moment, and a raging hardon when you don't want it the next. But even then, the effects go away quickly after stopping the drug.

Thanks for all the responses. Good to see that the side effects are temporary and wear off after a few days. Does anybody else have experience with the drug and how long it takes for side effects to wear off after stopping its use?
