Well, first of all, get out of Altamonte Springs! Go to the Parliment House on OBT for a full on Gay experience... its a lot of fun with bars and a pool and a lot of cruising. But also go around to the parks... I'm partial to Universal Studios because I worked there as a character actor for a while... it's more adult than disney i think. But Disney has stuff outside the park with all kinds of bars and stuff like that which is pretty fun. there is a lot to do in Orlando... you didn't say if you were gay or straight, so pardon me if I jumped to conclusions. All in all, Orlando has so much to do that it's hard to even describe it... but the traffic SUCKS! and there's lots of crime and drugs and prostitution and red necks and backward-ass=country-fuck attitudes, but besides that, it's a blast!

I don't think I really helped you... did I?

The ducks and the manatees and all the wildlife are quite charming... and the advise I would give really depends on if you are gay or straight... so let me know. Also, you didn't say where you are traveling from... have you ever spent time several days in a 100 degree temp with 100% humidity? Sometimes it feels like you can feel the fungus growing on your ass crack. Besides that and the fairly large number of Klansmen... like I said, It's a blast!
I know I'm giving mixed messages about Orlando, but that's pretty much how I feel about Orlando... conflicted.

Best place I stayed in in Orlando was the Hyatt Grand Cyprus .. right outside of Disney World. The only advice I would say is: Don't stay IN the Disney park hotels... (doesn't sound like you are anyway).

There is a lot to do in Orlando besides the parks obviously too - downtown Orlando at night was pretty fun, it's just sometimes finding the spots! (Which I haven't been down in Years!)

I know all about hot, tropical weather as I'm in N.P.:cool222:
I hope I can get Parker to take me to Parliament House.
Thanks for the info so far. :drive::wave2:

Yes, I'm late to the party on this thread.

Just sayin' - at one time Disneyworld (Rat Land to natives) was the largest private employer of musicians in the world...don't know if it still is.

I've heard some good bands there, haven't been back in years, but am looking forward to returning "one of these days."

I'm back as you all know. I've had fun at Disney World, Epcot and Sea World before, but didn't go to any mega theme parks this time. Instead I went to Port Canaveral early one morning to board the SunCruz casino ship. The ship had a delicious buffet, 4 casino decks and the Drifters to entertain the passengers later in the afternoon. On the ship's top deck I was pestered for awhile by an affectionate, drunk, blonde woman who encouraged me to play the slot machines. Those machines are evil and addictive. I'll never play them again! At least not until after I've had a few hands of 21 or had a go at the roulette wheel.:post:

I had slipped away from her by the time that the Drifters were to perform. But one of their lead singers got a surprise shock when the same intoxicated blonde, who previously took a liking to me, decided to grab him for a dance as he sang. She was quickly escorted away by a male member of staff. The Drifter's session was enjoyable, but quite short.

I see why you Floridians like Florida so much.:biggrin1:
