Poutine, euh..."une fois" was enough for me. LOL

I'm a picky eater, although I do like Mexican (real Mexican, not Toxic Hell), and Italian.

Other than that - I suppose I fit some sort of Midwestern stereotype because I tend towards "meat and potatoes"...

I was talking about Greek cuisine being my favourite as a whole. That's not to say that there aren't items from other cuisines that I love. Spanish? Okay, yeah: I particularly like paella, empanadas, flan, gazpacho and sangría, but they are not as readily available in New Orleans as is good Greek food. However, my boyfriend and I are going to Spain this summer and I plan to eat myself into a gastronomic stupour!

Oooww....very nice very nice....im off to see my relatives this summer as well...always nice to tickle those tastebuds...

Thai is the next 'thing' here as well...just like the very smelly Surinam food (South America)...which is very popular here (Roti for example).

yes very true. i am chinese, home town is hong kong. american chinese food is a joke to me. they are based on real chinese dishes but are obviously made for western tastes. most people don't realize that every province in china has their own unique cuisine, and each cuisine has an endless amount of dishes. and teh funny thing is that each cuisine is so different. i go to some other province and the food tastes so damn different to what i am used to eating.

of course, i am biased, but u gotta admit that thousands of years of culture + a hell lot of people + an obsession for food = some pretty good and interesting food!
