when you live your life trying to please A, B won't be happy with you. You change to make B happy but then C doesn't like what you're doing. You change to please C then D is upset with you. Live your life to make yourself happy and surround yourself with people who accept you, not ones who want to change you or are ashamed of you.

that and

always tell the truth. you won't have many friends, but you'll never have many enemies because people will always know where you're coming from.

Just a question to dust off your mind.
What is the greatest lesson in life you've ever learned?
Pass it on so maybe others can benefit from it as well.

Things my dad told me:
  • Never trust people who don't like Jews; they usually don't like blacks either.
  • Never move to a town that only has one type of church. Even if it's the church you prefer attending. You need to have diversity of religion to have diversity of people.

Stuff I learned along the way:
  • Always keep a spare pair of pantyhose in your desk drawer.
  • Learn how to make one dessert really well.
  • Never be mean to the help.

NJ, will you elborate on why he said this one?

Cause it's true.

There are a great many people who do not like Jews for some silly reason, these same people will often pretend to be liberal enough to be friendly with black people. I have on a number of occassions had a white person approach me in both professional and social settings who made an anti-semetic remark about a mutually known Jewish person. The assumption is that all blacks hate jews. This is of course not true. It's just easier to spot a black person in a room than a Jewish person.

1.) Never trust 'em farther than you can throw 'em.
2.)Always look for the data to verify what someone is telling you
3.Dogs really are women's best friend. Dogs won't lie, cheat, steal or screw you unlike some folks.
4.)Always get any business deal in writing. :deal:
5.) Nobody is free from stereotyping or racism in in myriad forms.
Here's one that pertains to dick sites mostly; No pix? You can bet they'll claim to have a huge dick and the ones who get offended at you because you questioned something they said, usually are lying! :naughty:
On a positive note.
Yet I have made some really special friends online whom I really admire and respect right here at lpsg and BD's site!
Thank you to those very special friends. :07:

Two words of wisdom that I'll always live by.

1. Never forget what makes you smile as a child.
2. No matter how hard you try, you can't please everybody.

Oh, and never eat yellow snow.

ooh, i like that one. i'll have to remember that.

You are responsible for your own happiness.

If you don't love yourself, no one else is going to do it for you.

Periodically examine your own belief system, and change what you realize is not right.

Apply the Golden Rule rigorously, even when it's not easy. It may not get you what you want, but it will always leave you with a clean conscience.

Perhaps most importantly:

Never do anything you know you will be ashamed of.
