Read the seminal [ok, I couldn't resist] novel of Wyoming frontier women who abandon male affection for some hot girl-on-girl action. It is, of course, by a right wing Republican: Lynne Cheney, Sisters.

I wonder what she was thinking as she wrote the girlie sizzle. Could it be that she longed for a hot rut with other than the mechanical marvel, our current Vice President? Surely not...

Among the people to which Lynne Cheney dedicated her book was her daughter Mary, who is openly gay (although this fact seemed to surprise Lynne in 2000).

Furthermore, Lynne Cheney has never stood in favor of the defunct Federal Marriage Amendment. In July, she stated:

Besides Sisters, she's also the author of A Is For Abigail, a study of women's contributions to American history.
