I'm so proud of my new home state of Florida being the only east coast southern state to vote for Obama.
What's interesting is the last I checked the popular vote was still very close. Which means in some ways the country is still very much split down the middle. I don't admire the task that lays before President Elect Obama, not at all.
While neither the winner of the person giving the concession speech tonight received my vote, I hope things do get turned around and things become better. Time has come to tear down the party lines and get back to what the country and people need.
I am not convinced he is the person for the job, I just hope he does prove me wrong. I'm tired of the two party system, it's time to bring common sense into Washington. I just hope he does his job and doesn't bend based on polls and other nonsense.
Don't fret darlin'. I'm still that same good cowboy you've always known. To clarify: I have no problem with a black man being president. None whatsoever. It's his policies that have me running scared.
