You are lucky Ellie!

I don't run anywhere unless it's an emergency.
There has yet been a bra made that will tether these puppies and stop them from blacking my eyes if I tried.
*drools* I'm a part-time, volunteer bra. Just thought I'd mention that.

This is so stupid. People who dress provocatively are absolutely to blame for what happens to them. Why? The whole situation is just so fucking stupid and devoid of character. Sure, it might be innapropriate for someone to stare vigorously or god forbid actualy violate some of these dumb wenches who dress provocatively, but also these women who dress provocatively are most likely horrible people who have poor character. Poor character enough to dress like something that obviously puts an object- their body- forward BEFORE their actions as a person. So these people are either just dumb or they are actually seriously putting that shit out there for real, playing a certain hand. The hand that says they're hot shit? The hand that lets their personal life ooze off them? No doubt their beauty is a huuuuuuuuuuuuuge factor in their self esteem. And then they get offended when this all washes up in some sort of argument. Jesus. These people are simply dumb. Get real, take some fucking responsibility. It is completely possible to wear a type of feminimity that is both decent and attractive. The question isn't if you have a right to dress how you would like, the question is what fuck are you thinking about when you dress in the first place?

I'll give you an example. If I saw a woman on the street naked, I wouldn't feel the need to grope her - would you? You choose how to react to a situation. There are creepy people around, yes - for that reason I wouldn't recommend walking around naked. But, the point is - in an ideal world they should be able to, without risk of abuse. It's the second person, (the groper) that is responsible. That person chose to act in such a way. To say that the first person is 'absolutely to blame' is just silly. But what do I know? I'm just an idealist. Don't be stupid, watermelon. (< Sorry - couldn't resist.)

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Americans are just too fixated on sexuality. It started with the Puritans and continues to this day. It's my personal opinion that hiding and repressing our sexuality is a good part of the reason we have sex crimes and rape in this country. It's not so much that we hide it in public, but we hide it in private too. Each person has their own private space and it's considered naughty to show any intimate part of yourself to another member of your own home. My wife's upbringing was so repressed sexually that she can't (to this day) be comfortable around me naked (and we've been married 40 years); much less any of our kids (all daughters). I was brought up in a little more relaxed setting, but even I had problems being nude in my own home for a long time. Now, when I've just stepped out of the shower and someone walks in, I don't try to hide my nakedness, but rather try to be casual and relaxed about it. It's been a long journey. I think we would be much better off as individuals and a society if the stigma was lifted on sexuality.

Just my 2¢.

hey, waterhead.

did the hot girl in school invite you to the big senior party? and then, she told you to meet her in a room upstairs? so, you smooth your hair. straighten your buttons. check the condom in your wallet. collect ya courage and go up stairs.

the room was really dark. frampton was on the stereo. behind sheer draping you see her. naked. beckoning.

but.... but...

when you part the drapes... to touch her... she is cold.

her hand.. is stiff...

still..

you lean in for a kiss.....

HER HEAD FALLS OFF!!!!

AUAUUUGGGHHHHHH.. she is dead.. she is a dead body!!! *stolen from the medical school*

you scream. tear off your clothes. crash out the window. land in 50 gallon drum of generic toxic waste.

transformation montage.....

umm yeah.. i mean, is that what's wrong with you?

I have been molested on the subway wearing overalls, a baggy t-shirt, and closed-toe, flat sandals. Essentially, dressed like a hobo-farmer. My tits are huge. Leaving my house is provocative. Should I be raped on every corner? (Try it. I carry a stun gun that puts out over 2 million volts. I would love to find out what fried evil smells like.)

If dressing provocatively is what invites assault and rape, then I'm fucked. I live in the tropics, where the lowest night time temperature is still warm enough to wear small tops and short shorts. If short skirts get women raped, then this would be a male-only ghost town by now.

Conversely, wouldn't the rape rate in a city like Chicago be almost nonexistent during winter? Would Texas and Miami battle it out to be the rape capital of the USA? I don't know the statistics on this stuff, but my guess would be that the rape rate stays pretty consistent year-round, in all cities of the world.

Or, stupidwatermelon, you're a fucking troll and should fuck back off to the pit from whence you came.

What do our clothes say about who we are or who we think we are? How does the way we dress communicate messages about our identity?
These are questions that have been debated for centuries, however the way we perceive ourselves and are seen by others are often vastly different. This thread has been reported and after some discussion we would like to request that the discussion continue with some respect for others taste level and ask that you try to see beyond the obvious and not stereotype and make slanderous ambiguous assumptions regarding character and lifestyle.

There's a huge difference between gawking and a quick look/see in public places.

I hardly ever do either, but admit that I'm capable of both and have done each at least once in my lifetime.

In the last year or so, I've become quite a bit more forgiving to people who openly stare at me or my hubby. It used to scare me when I was alone and I ignored it totally. Depending upon the situation, and if I feel safe, I now might make quick eye contact w/a little smile as I leave/walk by to let you know that I know you were staring and it's okay.

Everytime I visit this site I stare at a body. And gawk now and then as well. So fair is fair.

Absurd! How is a man wanting attention from women gay?

Since you responded and I didn't see it...

The context of the OP and a guy saying "I'm starved for attention from women!" is what I like to call 'fake straight'. It sounds like the person is hiding something if they put it in that kind of context.

It's going over the top to 'prove' you are straight.
