nice pics man. well i should ask you something now that has been buggin me lately. And i mean no offense by this but why is it like important for a guy especially a str8 one to bulk up!? wouldn't you prefer a slimmer built?

Hey marluc--Sorry for the late response. First off, thx for the compliment!

Can't speak for all guys, but I bulk up--especially in the fall winter b/c I have diabetes. Muscle acts as a furnace to burn the excess sugar in the body, so the more muscle you have, the more effectively you can burn sugar. This is espeially important in the winter, b/c sometimes I can't be as active--mostly due to the weather. So my winter bulk is more for health rreasons than anything else. Hope that helps.

Usually the advise I get is to not lift so much weight since my muscles are 'big enough" for a girl already and I really should be doing light weights and more reps or I will end up looking like a man.

I try really hard to be polite and say thank you through my gritting teeth!

that makes a lot of sense to me because I know someone who does the same. He bulks up during the winter. I should ask him if he is diabetic.

I had this man like 50 yrs old and a cop, he always offers help and Id tell him im ok, after saying that few times he gave up and got the hint. Hes a cool guy and in great shape I just know what Im doing.

This is the primary reason I workout at home. I have weights, bench, treadmill and soon a dip station.

I have learned quite a bit from articles on line and other websites that contain "how to" videos that show the correct way to perform various movements.

It works.

I guess for me, half of the time i wouldn't care (and might not think too much of it, depending on the person it came from) and the other half of the time I would be annoyed just because someone was trying to talk to me and I have to pull headphones out of my ears and go "what?!?" and the whole thing is just kind of bothersome.

But the thing i hate most about the gym are the guys that ask for a spotter, and I don't mind spotting someone at all, but the ones that ask for one and then the whole time you are there after that they keep hanging around and trying to talk and then while doing some reps of something walking by me and telling me to "push it" and then you get a "there ya go buddy".

I think i would rather not speak to anyone the whole time i'm there.
