Living in so California most all dudes were circumcised. i was left uncut because the dr told my parents it was not necessary to have it done so i was not circumcised. when i was 19 i got cut of my own choice so i could look like my friends. i regret it now i wish i had my foreskin back .
Does having a little bit of excess skin or not make life so difficult? If you did have it, would it improve your life?
Just say you still did have it, how would it change your life? More money? Better job? More sex? What?
You made a choice, stop looking back and move on.

Right!
At one time patients generally did what doctors told them to do with no discussion. It was generally assumed that one's health was the responsibility of one's doctor. Attitudes have greatly changed and now doctors are expected to explain things carefully to their patients and give their patients options. Most younger people would not be aware of this change.

My granddad was born in ROME. When he came here and got married had three sons, like himself they stayed intact. When my dad had my brother and me, the tradition continued. My brother and I are both very happy about that.
My father was never circumcised, and I'm guessing that's the biggest reason I was left intact. My mother was a nurse and later in life she briefly mentioned that she thought circumcision wasn't worth the risk (or few minutes it took to do the procedure) unless there was an actual medical need to do it.
I'm pretty glad they made that choice. It gives me the freedom to make my own choice should I ever decide I don't want to have a foreskin, not that I see that happening.

My father was born in a rural area and wasn't cut at birth, but he was then circumcised at age 19 thanks to the US Army.
I came along and was cut. While growing up - all the boys were cut and if you weren't it was a rarity. Even today at the gym - I see 95% cut.
I don't mind it - it's all I've ever known and I was like my dad and I'm actually very happy with it.

I'm an uncut Jew oddly enough. My parents were fairly indifferent and their doctor was Persian, who didn't place cultural value on it and there wasn't a huge medical reason.
I do think about getting cut from time to time, many reports I read of adult men doing it rate it as a very positive experience.

Before you do anything drastic, remember that it can go either way. You could be happy with being cut or you could regret it. Get both sides of the issue. Personally, I don't see any benefit, but everyone is different. Just remember that once it's done, it can't be undone. Sensitive tissue and nerve endings will be forever lost.

When I got to Jr. High and had my first locker room experience, that was when I saw most of my school friends were circumcised. I was embarrassed because by penis didn't look like the majority of penises in the locker room.
Long story short I finally got circumcised as an adult at age 35. I only wish I had been circumcised at birth. I'm very satisfied being circumcised. I hated all those years having a foreskin after I discovered circumcision. I see nothing positive about having a foreskin. I was glad to be rid of mine.

Are you uncut? I don't know if I speak for other uncut guys but in my case I can pinch or pull my foreskin as hard as I want and I feel nothing.

My dad told me that he and mom argued about it before I was born. Mom was one of those women who had been influenced by the Mayo clinic recomendations for circumcision (The MC still seems to favor it...)
My dad finally went so far as to tell her that his foreskin and frenulum were where he got the most pleasure from sex, and he didn't want to deprive his sons of that. That was probably as graphic as dad ever got in talking about sex with mom. When my dad took mom to the hospital for my birth, he specifically told the obstetrician that there would be no neonatal circumcision. He did the same for my brother. My mom told me when I was an adult and she was tipsy that 'Your father woudn't talk about sex, but he sure loved it!'. And he was right--my foreskin is where I get the most sexual pleasure.

I was born right after WWII. Before I was born, the family doctor who delivered me(a trout-fishing buddy of my dad), told my dad 'Charlie, as a man, he'll never know the pleasure you do if he's circumcised. If you want it done, find another doctor. I don't circumcise.' None of my brothers are, either.

I wouldn't call that guilt. Why you are left intact is due to repulsion of seeing it performed. A nurse friend of mine told me lots of nurses won't assist in a circumcision and many do not have their sons circumcised because they seen it done and they know what the kids go through
