Did all that and it didn't work.
I won't be dealing with this possibly happening with another boy.
Sorry to hear about your problems but I think that you were just really unlucky. Here in the UK, where the majority of boys are uncircumcised, infections are very,
very, rare. In fact, I don't think that I've ever heard of one suffered by any guy that I have ever known and the only post-natal circumcisions that I've heard of have been the result of over-tight foreskins, that have failed to naturally stretch during infancy/teens.
There may be an increase in infections generally, though, due to the trend towards showering rather than bathing, even at a young age. There is a misconception that this is
always cleaner. In teens and beyond that is probably true, at an age when the majority of uncut guys are able to fully retract their foreskins whilst showering, to direct the water to wash any detritus from under the foreskin. However, with the under 5s in particular, many medics recommend that parents don't try to forcibly retract their child's foreskin, until it has naturally fully separated from the glans, which can happen at different stages of childhood. Water running off the foreskin won't wash underneath and that's why the advice from most medics is to try to bath youngsters, rather than showering, as immersion in bathwater will allow water to naturally enter under the foreskin and swill out any detritus. (N.B. Not that I'm suggesting for one minute that you weren't already doing that!).
