I am trying to tap into enormous knowledge and experience from the members of this website. I recently asked for input from intact guys regarding pleasure they derived from their foreskins and also asked circumcised guys to describe what they like about circumsized sex.

My reason for doing this were not due to some obsession but a desire to have the members of this website provide anecdotal information on the subject in a non-debate format.

Most guys (at least straight guys) don't normally discuss this topic amongst themselves. It is more likely to be discussed in a more anonymous forum. On this subject peoples experiences can go a long way in helping people to understand the issue from both angles. The response rate was not as good as I hoped - perhaps my approach should have been different.

Anyway, I have another question for intact guys:

For what reason (excluding medical reason such as phimosis) would you consider getting circumcised? What do you not like about having your foreskin?

I really like having a foreskin, so it would have to be an extreme situation for me to consider losing it: some horrible disease or something.

There are a couple of downsides to having one: if you've got the sort that completely covers the head of your dick you can occasionally find yourself peeing in an unexpected direction! Also the head of my dick under the foreskin is VERY sensitive: sometimes unbearably so (though that's frequently a plus, too!).

But the pluses (as discussed elsewhere) completely outweigh those for me.

Couldn't agree more! I have a similar history: when I was child, a doctor recommended circumcision in order to prevent some diseases, but fortunately a surgeon said it was not necessary. Never had any problems with my foreskin, on the contrary now I'm happy for having it

Regarding the VERY sensitive glans issue.

Would your glans be sensitive to probing with say something like a plastic coffee stir stick or more sensitive to a rubbing motion?

Well, since no one else will talk about it I will start. As a restorer I keep my glans covered most of the time. A few months ago I was using my DTR (Dual Tension Restorer). This device pushes your glans back into your skin tube and puts tension on your skin. Sometimes the device would work free and it would not stay on when reinstalled. This was due to the normal build of skin oil. To overcome this issue I would was my dick several times a day.

During this period of frequent washing I noticed that my dick did start developing a fairly strong scent, even when not using the device and just retaining. Actually, I kind of liked the scent, somewhat erotic but at times it was a little stronger than I liked.

For the last few months I switched to using only manual tugging techniques (no device). I am back to washing only once per day. Even though the I still keep my glans covered most of the time the scent has almost completely disappeared. Occasionally I get a faint whiff of it but is very mild. I believe the stronger scent developed due to washing too often and upsetting the normal microbial flora.

I am not sure if when I am finished restoring and my skin and glans returns to its intended mucosal state if the scent will become stronger than it is now. It is something that I am willing to live with, plus as I indicated I kind of like the scent (maybe because it is something new that I have not previously experienced).

I have seen posts where intact guys are very defensive and say they wash once a day and there is no odour, other say face it our dicks "smell like dick". I sure everyone is different but overall is this an issue with at least some people sometimes?

I have not yet experienced smegma. In a way I look forward to it happening as well - it would be a sign of accomplishing my restoration goal - though obviously I would not want it all of the time. What can my expectation be. If I don't wash for a couple of days would it develop or would it take several days or a week. Are there any circumstances that makes it develop faster (e.g. hot weather, illness).

I can understand why no one wants to discuss these items but "improve hygiene" has been one of the main reasons the medical community has used to brainwash people into getting there children circumcised. I asked my parents - it is why I was circumcised.

Come on guys - there was a good response form intact guys on the "uncut in America" post to help the father to make the right decision to leave his son intact. The intention of this post is similar but on a larger scale - not directed at one particular person.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of people that really think this is an issue. There are enough posts on this site that illustrate that. Silence to this post reinforces those beliefs. This was/is probably the most significant factor that has contributed to the needless circumcision of millions of male infants for non-religious reasons. This practice continues to thousands every day.

I know it is not the fault of those that are lucky enough to remain intact but it would be nice to have some clarification on this issue. I for one would really like to understand fully this aspect of being intact - the reason I am not.

Helping the general "cut" population very clearly understand this aspect of being intact will make it easier for them to make the right decision for their male children. I am sure that there is wide variation between different men - this is a natural process that occurs to various extents in intact men and women, there is nothing to be ashamed of. Help us understand.

Sapien: Thanks for raising this issue. I have recently done a lot of research on 'foreskin restoration'. I've read a lot about the difference in sensation between a 'cut' guy and an 'uncut' guy and have decided I need to re-grow my foreskin so it completely covers my man.
The reason I started to look into this matter was because I was finding that my Glans rubbing on my clothes was becoming painful. I tried several different types of underclothes but without any real success.
Since I've started the restoration process, I'm lucky enough to have enough foreskin that I can pull forward and put a Retainer on to hold that in place. Problem of Glans rubbing and becoming sore - SOLVED!!!
I've also noticed that the Glans are becoming moist (no odour to date) and no doubt that will lead to a softening of the skin on the Glans which has become less sensitive than it should be owing to the 60+ years of rubbing on clothes; towels; etc.
So for me? - FORESKIN is the way I'm going, as I believe it is the way to increased sensitivity during sex, during masturbation, and less pain when wearing clothes.

You are quite welcome. My experience with restoration is similar. I am trying to raise awareness on this issue so that people are more informed on the subject to the extent that they will at least think about it with a little more depth.

I won't say that it hasn't crossed my mind in the past. If I went through with it, would have been for aesthetic reasons. In retrospect I'm glad I didn't - I enjoy playing with the foreskin too much. Plus, it has many practical purposes too.

There is no need to viva circumcision. It's been around for 5000 years or so.

No problem in controlling the direction and you will put away a drier penis as you won't have urine trapped under your foreskin. One big plus to being with an uncircumcised guy is that he can actually enter you without lubrication.

He pushes the skin as far over the head as possible, then presses they whole mess against your opening. As he lets go and pushes forward, it sort of unravels into you, like the way tank treads roll over the ground. No friction, no pain.

The only downside is that he is not all the way in, while thrusting, so as he gets close and begins to push harder and deeper, that last couple of inches enters you with no lube and can either be painful or arousing, as you get close.
