JT: Yes and successful but it took several years. Now I wouldn't have it any other way.

Foreskin is packed with nerve endings and is a specialised kind of skin. I guess you could call it semi mucous. Among other things it produces certain antiviral/antibacterial agents and keeps the head of the penis moist and soft.

Once it's gone, it's gone for ever. Restoration will produce a more or less realistically looking "foreskin" but it will obviously not be the same as the real thing.

tott666: Seriously, you stretch the shaft skin using contraptions/tape. I don't remember exactly how, I'm not that interested. I'm intact.

Soo, the new foreskin is actually just loose shaft skin. A real foreskin is very stretchy "girth-wise", sort of like elastic. It contracts and expands with erections and manipulations.  The foreskin usually ends at the tip of the flaccid penis, moulding itself to the shape. It can look a bit wrinkly around, almost like if you'd tightened a drawstring. Restored foreskin (if it's that long) usually just hangs, like a curtain.

Disclaimer: I wrote this from memory, if I got something wrong please correct me.

Since I'm uncut, I'd like to add, it's the inner foreskin that's more sensitive. It wouldn't make any sense for the outer foreskin to be sensitive. :D

What I meant, Sammy, is that it wouldn't make sense for the outer skin to be more sensitive than the glans. (It's supposed to protect the glans. Imagine if a bee stung you on your clitoris - and not the hood either. The penis has even more risk of that kind of pain because it hangs out farther.)

Both the inner and outer foreskin are exposed in most erections, as well a the glans, and if not, you can still retract it farther.

u8005821: Yes there is foreskin restoration. I have been stertching for about two years, and do have complete coverage when flaccid, and whrn masturbating it glides up and down just like a "real" foreskin. It looks genuine, I fool most people, but no the sensitivety is not there that would have been if I had not been MUTILATED I am still angry about it, but restoration apperance does make me feel better. Thanks for letting me rant.

i too have been restoring, but only about 16 months for me and had some good initial growth, but it seems to have really slowed down and it makes my 4 year goal of complete coverage when errect seem almost impossible. what method(s) did you use jt?

and how did you restore u8005821? and yes, i'm still bitter as hell too. i am so desensitized that i usually can have an orgasm anyway but masturbation. at first my wife loved my staying power, but now i think she wishes i would come after about 15 minutes, like i use to. i have notice better sensitivity when i keep my glans covered 24/7. lately though i have just been stretching and not taping.

JT: I started my foreskin restoration fifteen years ago by using various taping methods. After about one and a half to two years I made a rubber device that conformed to the head of my penis and allowed me to extend the skin a little further, using tape to hold it in place. That lasted for at least a year, maybe longer until I got tired of the hassel. It probably took another three to four years of tugging the skin in place over the glans before it would stay in place despite my activity. Today you would never know that I was cut. At least not without close inspection. Even errect it looks natural, at least from the top. I am very happy with the results and it has given me a lot of enjoyment. However I did have electrolisyt because of unwanted hairs on the shaft. Good luck and don't give up.
