So I had a physical on Friday and am still worrying about the results. I popped a boner and the doc seemed to have quite a bit of trouble retracting my foreskin. He didn't say anything but seemed to make an awful lot of notes. Should I be worried?

You forgot the most important thing. You should have ask him what he was writing and keep asking until you got an answer that you understood. Doctors are not gods and need to be questioned about what they are doing and why.

This. He really didn't say anything? I think he should have said something or asked you questions too at the very least.

But lucky me I got a hold of the notes! Here:
"The exam started out all innocent but then he popped a boner. He did have tight foreskin - I could've worked that open with my tongue. Damn being professional sucks. Now he's looking over here, he must be wondering what I'm writing, I'd show him but even I have trouble reading it!" -just kidding~

I'm 24 and can retract it myself. I'm really not sure why he was having so much trouble but it was definitely not coming back when he did it, and wouldn't retract over the corona at all.

I know I should have asked what he was writing but I was finding the experience too awkward!

I'll bet it was awkward! I don't know that there's a way that wouldn't have been. Take it as a lesson to ask next time. I don't know where you live, but around here it's a patient's right to be able to see their own file.

Your original question was should you be worried? No. Don't worry. Doesn't sound like there's anything to be worried about at all, except for a physician with less-than-stellar bedside manner.

The only thing that you should be worried about is was that a real doctor or the janitor who had got hold of a white coat......

Ask for a copy of his notes. You may have to sign a release form, but your chart is your business and you have a legal right to the information it contains.

my doctor always make a reference to my medical chart , couple time I've read my physical report and it always make mention quote penis is uncircumcised .
yes he pulls down my foreskin and checks my exposed cock head , asks if I felt any discomfort while he was doing the exam , ? and do I have any issues when I retract my foreskin down ?

Same thing for me, every physical I've ever had the doctor always retracts my foreskin and checks my exposed head and I do remember a couple of times they have made a note on my chart that my penis is uncircumcised

My doc didn't check my dick at my last physical and it was the first time he had me as a patient. I'm older too maybe that's why he didn't do it. But I'm French and we are not circumcised so he should have checked maybe...

I'm really confused about all these threads about men having physicals where doctors pull foreskins back or comment about guys size or even one when a guy claimed that his doctor basically jerks him off when he goes to see him.
I have checked with hubby who has had many physical exams and not once has a doctor even attempted to pull his foreskin back, the only intimate check he has ever had is the 'cough test', he says he would be freaked out if the doc tried to pull it back.
He and I just cannot comprehend any circumstance when a physical would have to get that intimate, are these stories just fantasies?
Its akin to my Dr. pulling my clit hood back or parting my labia, it just would not happen unless there was a specific problem with that part of my body.
In these days of so many suing cases, especially in the US, I just can't imagine a situation where a Dr. would risk behaving in this manner.
Am I wrong?

When I was 11 or so, my family practitioner did pull my foreskin back but he did it only once. Since there was no problem, he didn't do it every year.
But he has to do it at least once, no jokes, he has to check.

Retracting the foreskin is actually a legitimate part of a routine physical and male genital exam.

They do this to see if the foreskin is functioning properly, check for lesions, phimosis, signs of cancerous growths, warts/STDs, balanitis, other problems, etc.

If a doctor or nurse practitioner isn't doing this during a physical exam, it's not a thorough or proper exam.

Hope that helps.

American Docs are preoccupied with foreskin........they tink it needs to removed and if not you will get all kind of dreadful diseases.......of course not true.Circumcision is ingrained into the American mentality that foreskin is dirty.......ignorance.

At last, someone has given me a lucid explanation, thank you! For so many years I have been trying to establish why so many guys, Americans mostly, are so pre-occupied with people being 'cut' or 'uncut'. I have encountered many penises in my sexual career (lol), of both type, and I can say that it has never ever been an issue, what will be will be, foreskin or not it makes not a jot of difference to me.

And to the guy who said retracting the foreskin is a normal part of a medical exam, I have checked again with hubby who, for the record, is intact, and despite having almost yearly medicals because of his profession, not once has he had someone roll his foreskin back and take a peek. He assures me that his penis is ignored at these exams and that he would find it extremely unnerving and peculiar if a doctor or nurse asked to do it.
