For a lot of people, that's just part of the fantasy, watching others and knowing they're being watched, and not necessarily who by. What goes on over the Internet isn't "real" and he may want to keep to keep his cyber and everyday lives completely separate. He might not appreciate finding out that someone who knows him in real life has watched him stroke one out.
