Because of people like this lady lol

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P36x8rTb3jI

You know, after watching it this time, what she said actually made sense. The title of the youtube video is not what she said or implied. Furthermore, I remember thinking what she said was ludicrous, but her actual words do not mean what people wanted them to mean, and I don't think that she meant Obama was gonna pay her bills.

If that's what black people actually believe, did I say it doesn't?

You said:

Wouldn't make much sense for them to get their news from a conservative media outlet considering their voting record.

So it goes that A) because Fox 'News' is a 'conservative media outlet' and B) blacks don't vote conservative that C) it is the 'duty' of a 'conservative media outlet' engage in blatent racially motivated 'reporting' because 'they' don't vote for 'us'.

KTF40 the modern day Kevin Phillips. You take the title...congratulations ..........
Nixon political strategist Kevin Phillips..
From now on, the Republicans are never going to get more than 10 to 20 percent of the Negro vote and they don't need any more than that... but Republicans would be shortsighted if they weakened enforcement of the Voting Rights Act. The more Negroes who register as Democrats in the South, the sooner the Negrophobe whites will quit the Democrats and become Republicans.

And your link is designed to do just that. Next up Willie Horton from KTF40.

Considering 96% of blacks who voted in the last election chose Obama, I don't think that 1.38% statistic is much of a surprise at all. Blacks are in the pockets of the Democratic party. Wouldn't make much sense for them to get their news from a conservative media outlet considering their voting record.

Blacks are not in the pocket of the Democratic Party. Take it from one who actually voted Republican once.

The reason why the opposition doesn't attract them is because they provide a message that excludes them. Again, we got Van Jones, Shirley Sherrod, ACORN and the dubious Black Panther nonsense. How can they tell ANY minority that we're all "equal", then trumpet these fictional scandals?

Because, for want of any other, more thoughtful reply, you've said that the video you linked explains the disenfranchisement so many blacks feel regarding the Republican party.

It also, indirectly, suggests that well over 90% of the African American population either are not self-sufficient or would prefer not to be, and that the Democratic party keeps them by bribing them with welfare and other social programs antithetical to Republicanism.

Does Medicare Part D ring any bells?

In order to make that assumption, you would have to believe that every statement that ends with an "lol" is literal.

But to answer your original question, I think they're generally uninformed on the issues and can be easily influenced by members of the black community to lean towards the Democrats. Just my personal opinion with no evidence other than my own personal experience to back it up.

So it goes that A) because Fox 'News' is a 'conservative media outlet' and B) blacks don't vote conservative that C) it is the 'duty' of a 'conservative media outlet' engage in blatent racially motivated 'reporting' because 'they' don't vote for 'us'.

I follow A and B. No idea how you arrived to C.

Don't know what this has to do with anything.

96% vote for Obama. That's kind of the definition of in the pocket of the Democratic Party. And not all those scandals are fictional or for even that matter, "trumpeted" by the Republicans.

You still haven't answered the question as to WHY black people vote this way. There's a glaring reason why this is so, and contrary to belief it's due to the fact that the GOP doesn't have a message that is accepting to ANY minority. 2008 proved that without a shadow of a doubt. Trust me, it has nothing to do with whether or not they are informed with the facts or whether or not they are biased or racist. Keep that in mind when you try (and I do mean try) to answer that question.

And not all those scandals are fictional or for even that matter, "trumpeted" by the Republicans.

They were all fictional and they were all trumpeted by some Republicans. Don't make me post the YouTube links... this is the internet age so nobody can deny this unless they want to risk looking uninformed, hypocritical or like downright liars.

In other words, just your personal bigotry on ugly display.

Not too mention viewers of Fux News are by contrast sooo well informed.

Not to mention all those Constitutional scholars at the Teabag Party.

Nah...we don't watch no news...we ignant.
LOL, to quote KTF.

Yeah I have.

They were all fictional and they were all trumpeted by some Republicans. Don't make me post the YouTube links... this is the internet age so nobody can deny this unless they want to risk looking uninformed, hypocritical or like downright liars.

When Van Jones name can be found on a 9/11 "truther" petition, that's the definition of a scandal. Even liberal members of the media agreed he had to go (most recently being Jonathan Alter the other day on Rachel Maddow) because of that reason alone. That's not fiction, that's not made up. Regardless of whatever excuse Jones comes up with for his name being there, his actions speak louder than words.

And I don't see any Republicans in Congress trumpeting the firing of Shirley Sherrod. If anything, I'm sure they want the story to go away. Yeah, Fox trumpeted it for a day or so, but they aren't the Republican Party, just a conservative media outlet.

And besides, these stories really have minimal impact on black people and for that matter, all people. Things such as healthcare, wars in Iraq/Afghanistan, govt economic policy, supreme court appointees, etc, are all far more important issues. If black people honestly really let things like Fox's coverage of Van Jones, Black Panthers, Sherrod, etc impact their vote in November, should they really be voting when there are so many more important issues facing this country?

In other words, just your personal bigotry on ugly display.

Lol, I knew somebody like you would get their panties all in a bunch over that comment.

How is my personal bigotry on display? Did you know I think the vast majority of whites are uninformed too. I guess that makes me a bigot too (I'm white btw). Frankly, most people just don't follow the news. They don't have a clue of what's going on this country because they don't take the effort to educate themselves. If you really think there is any bigotry in that opinion then you really need to calm down.

I'm sure you don't. Just like the Republican Party can't figure out why it can't attract minority voters.

Are you just going to keep calling me names, or you actually going to contribute something of substance to this discussion? Your snarky comments aren't entertaining anyone.

Do you ever actually go onto Media Matters and look at some of their stuff, or do you simply listen to Bill "Loufa" O'Reilly's constant rantings against them?

I actually did skim his link. Trust me, there's a lot of LOL in there. I especially liked the part about John Stossel being a race-baiter because he's preaching standard libertarian philosophy. Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with libertarians, their viewpoint on repealing sections of the Civil Rights Act is not race-baiting, it's philosophical discussion on the role of government.

OK. This is useless. It's clear what you are. 'The role of government' my ass. Though your link really ended any pretense. You can join Rand Paul on the loser trail.
