Fox news inspired hate

Seriously Foxy News deserves it's own thread as it is the kingpin, the keystone of hate being broadcast 24/7 in America as the Murdochs enrich themselves peddling hate and misogyny.

And more importantly:

It’s time — high time — to take Fox News’s destructive role in America seriously

Chris Wallace is an exceptional interviewer, and Shepard Smith and Bret Baier are reality-based news anchors.

Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s talk about the overall problem of Fox News, which started out with bad intentions in 1996 and has swiftly devolved into what often amounts to a propaganda network for a dishonest president and his allies.

The network, which attracts more viewers than its two major competitors, specializes in fearmongering and unrelenting alarmism. Remember “the caravan”?
A commenter wrote:

When I first moved to Germany in 1971, I was surprised by how often older men would pull me aside to apologize for Germany's aggression during WWII.

The excuse most often given was that there was a radio in every household, constantly blaring government propaganda, and that they believed what they heard.

Fox News is not much different.
As such as long as Fox News exists broadcasting propaganda America will never return to sanity.

On the Revolving Door Between Fox News and the White House
https://www.newyorker.com/podcast/t...ing-door-between-fox-news-and-the-white-house
"Trump has made no secret of his great admiration for Fox News—which he praises by tweet nearly constantly—and his disdain for other, “fake news” outlets that he regards as “the enemy of the people.”

But the closeness of the relationship between Fox News and the White House is unprecedented in modern times, Jane Mayer tells David Remnick.

In a recent article, Mayer, a staff writer since 1995, analyzes a symbiotic relationship that boosts both Trump’s poll numbers and Rupert Murdoch’s bottom line.

“I was trying to figure out who sets the tune that everybody plays during the course of the day. If the news on Fox is all about some kind of caravan of immigrants supposedly invading America, whose idea is that?

It turns out that it is this continual feedback loop,” Mayer says.

She pays particular attention to the role of Bill Shine, the White House deputy chief of staff for communications and a former Fox News executive, who has helped create a revolving door where those who create the Administration’s political messaging and those who broadcast it regularly trade places.

Mayer also discovered that Shine was linked to the intimidation of employees who were sexually harassed at Fox News.

On Sunday, Madeline Peltz of Media Matters for America surfaced a bunch of comments that Carlson made when he called in to the radio show hosted by Bubba the Love Sponge between 2006 and 2011. After the radio host talked about girls at Carlson’s daughter’s boarding school engaging in sexual experimentation with one another, Carlson said, “If it weren’t my daughter I would love that scenario”; he slimed Arianna Huffington, calling her a “pig”; he referred to Alexis Stewart, the daughter of Martha Stewart, with the c-word; he said, “If [Hillary Clinton] could castrate you, she would.” And many more.

Fox News couldn’t care less that Tucker Carlson is a misogynist

I don’t see the problem.

Without hate, lies and conspiracy theories Trump wouldn't be the president so it's no wonder he wants Pirro back on the air selling the hate to the rubes.

Fox News has suspended host Jeanine Pirro over Islamophobic comments she made during last week’s broadcast of Justice with Judge Jeanine, which did not air on Saturday night. Fox News has not publicly confirmed the suspension, but a source told CNN that the network had indeed benched the popular host. It is not clear how long the suspension will last, or whether anxious advertisers will continue to support the program, or if Trump’s subsequent attacks on the network will intensify — and what that could mean to his and the network’s shared base.

In her last show, Pirro questioned the patriotism of Minnesota representative Ilhan Omar, one of the two first Muslim women to be elected to Congress last November. Pirro asked viewers to “think about” how Omar wears a hijab before suggesting that Omar’s belief in Islam was incompatible with being a loyal American. Implying that Muslims are inherently un-American is hardly new territory for right-wing pundits, but in this case Pirro’s retread didn’t just earn widespread criticism, but a rare public rebuke from her network. One day later, Fox News said it “strongly condemned” Pirro’s comments and that it had “addressed the matter with her directly.” By then, Pirro had already tried to backtrack after being publicly called out by a Muslim colleague at the network. She was just asking questions, she claimed.

Trump Wants Jeanine Pirro and Her Islamophobia Back on the Air
The suspension is most likely just for lip service. She'll be back at work soon pumping to the fear(irrational) based ratings. I hope I'm wrong but money is money.

Mikey22's last post is the most obvious example I have seen of someone willingly accepting fake news and rejecting other news sources because they don't like what they say.

I've seen people on this site post racist, sexist, homophobic things, etc., but this is probably the most disgusting display of willful ignorance someone could possibly express. It is disgusting.

Watch Fox if you must, but at least fabricate a better reason.

Genius... the news sounds better to you even if its a lie, but you can't even control yourself enough to pay attention.

You obviously don't care about the quality of the information that you receive. Your willful ignorance is a danger.

Not the new you want to hear. Women you find more attractive. And you think that equals fair and balanced.

Most & Least Educated States in America
Not that the link that you’ve posted has anything to do with Fox. I’ll agree that furthering your education Can be a good thing. If done right. But if going in to college being normal. And coming out being an out right socialist. I’d say that’s not money well spent. And then there’s the ones thousands and thousands of dollars in debt. Some with degrees. And they cry about it cause there credit is shot. Where’s that good job at???
Maybe college should be free. But only cause it’s not worth what’s being spent on it.

The link was relevant, and its content explains why you don't understand it.

I'm not sure why are are calling me a socialist. Do you have any reason for that? Is it because I think your judgement of sources of information is awful. If so, then no need to respond, you've proven my point.

Right... Because you judge news by how attractive the hosts are and how much you like the content of the news.

Again, your willful ignorance is a danger. I'm not sure that you understand what that means, it means that you actively try to be unaware of what is happening in the world around you and that fact makes you a liability.

You did not get what you needed educationally, the link I provided shows you that, and your views on how to take in information confirm it.

But the fact that your first input on this site was on March 5th 2019 shows that this is another sleeper account, probably Fred90. And now you are ignored.

Okay if that’s the way you want to be about it
