FOX and their minions have no sense of humor. They don't unclench their asses enough to make laughing possible. Now, crying on the other hand....

It's all about victimization and rage over perceived wrong-doing 24/7.

I've always said: Conservative media didn't become as popular as it has by appealing to a sense of contentment and empowerment in its audience. Rather, it panders to the "victim" mentality as well as anyone ever has.

It's a sad day for Guy Smiley.

LOL, brilliant, mlb!

As to the controversy itself, I have to say this is really a striking case of not knowing how to judiciously (intelligently, etc.) pick one's battles.

The person who responded via the ensuing quote seems to have a mature understanding of things. [“If we conservatives are to be successful in the media, we can't keep grabbing our skirts and shrieking every time we are parodied, especially when parodied on a equal level with left leaning counterparts. Man up.”] Otherwise, this just further defines both Fox News and it's disciples, and it definitely doesn't define them in a way they consider preferable.

See "shooting oneself in the foot", et. al. in the things-not-to-do section of the LIFE MANUAL.

The Daily Show and Sesame Street have joined forces with the White House against Fox News.

I think that is pretty funny. Hopefully they can win the day by getting Hanna Montana to rip up a picture of Rush Limbaugh the next time she performs.

Its about PBS and public funds. Its crazy how liberals don't seem to remember being pushed down when they were out of power. Everything will flip the other way again, and then back this way again, and again.

The skit also referred to CNN as GNN, or aptly titled, the "Grouch News Network". Yet we don't see them "libs" like Olbermann screaming "bloody murder" do we?

Can you please stop with the partisan rhetoric? If something as harmless as a Sesame Street sketch strikes bitter emotions, a skit geared at toddlers who don't even KNOW what CNN or Fox News is, then you need SERIOUS help.

Ah, for the kindler, gentler [sic] days when Murphy Brown was called out on the National political stage for "promoting" single parent motherhood. Personally, as a non christian, I'm rather offended that christians think they have some sort of proprietary status as 'Mericuhns and the rest of us are just second class (or third class hedonists) who haven't "received the word of god." Well, whose fucking god? Theirs? As far as I can tell, the movers and shakers of the anti Murphy Brown movement are just as ineffective today as back in the 1980s.

At least vice president potatoe [sic] isn't around to bother anyone -- much.

I think its funny that anyone would see this as a conspiracy in which Sesame Street had joined forces with the White House and Daily Show against Fox News. Sesame Street's mild Fox satire, from two years ago, proved to be very astute as the adverse responses to the sketch indicated hyper-sensitive grouches really are fans of Fox News. :lick:

Yeah, but he was good for some unintentional humor. (My favorite was "The Republican Party understands the importance of bondage between a mother and child". I actually read that rather than heard it on TV, and keeled over laughing when I read it!)

As for the whole "Tinky Winky is gay" thing, I remember that, and when the store got Teletubbies toys in, Tinky Winkys sold out first, most likely BECAUSE of the controversy (the only anything Teletubby I have seen on the person of an adult was Tinky Winky...)

Stevenvegas takes the cake with the tolerance study. Witness the current persecution of Republicans who are "too moderate" or "too liberal" by the Tea Baggers, Palin and Co.
Obviously what you want to do when you're unpopular is expel more people from your party.
