I don't believe Fox News began as the hilariously heavy-handed, almost cartoonish right-wing caricature it is today. What we see now is an end-result that can't begin to be defined as a news organization, not when female anchors actually sneer on-camera when reporting anything on the Democrat side of the isle, and when 99% of the content consists of a few hand-picked "be very afraid" stories that are drum-beaten to death until the viewer is so bored they go outside to watch grass grow for excitement.

And I am a registered Republican.

They do sneer don't they? I think Roger Ailes and his appointment to FoxFauxFixed News had a lot to do with its current state also I think as the ratings soared and they regularly beat the old man on the block, CNN, they got even more bolder. And CNN lowered the bar right along with them becoming a shadow of it's former self.
