no - I lived in my house for 2 years. Nothing gay that I can recall - we had communal showers, lots of nudity - but nothing sexual. We had one brother that was hung and had LOTS of girls - he would score like every night of the world. We would sit on his balcony and drink beer and watch him bang these girls all of the time. We would be 4 feet away and it was awesome.
Not sure how you'd search it, but we've had this thread topic several times before. It's always been concluded that the guys that were actually in houses, rarely encountered half of what the guys that weren't in them, fantasized about. :wink:

I was in a fraternity house for one academic year, in 1978-79 (before I transferred to another university), and my answer is no, as far as I ever heard or saw. I would say that the phrase "Don't ask, don't tell," which had not yet been put into circulation at that time, would describe the unspoken policy. There was one guy of whom I later heard that he had come out as gay, and there was another guy whose manner was almost flaming but who was accepted because he was entertaining and had the sharpest verbal come-backs of anyone in the house. Certainly, though, social life proceeded on an assumption of universal heterosexuality. I don't know if that has changed since then.
Absolutely nothing like that happened in my fraternity house. I lived there for close to 2 years. One guy came out and was pretty much run out of the fraternity for it. Unfortunately he chose the wrong brothers to come out to. Novice btm put it perfectly when he said "guys that were actually in houses, rarely encountered half of what the guys that weren't in them, fantasized about". There is lot of homophobia in fraternities and nothing homosexual - that's just a fantasy, not reality.

I think that it's one of those things where more people wish it was as hot as the concept lends to being...if that makes sense.
It's like sorority pajama pillow fights. Alot of guys just imagine all the lesbian-ish action that could possibly be going on inside the walls, but in reality they mostly just do homework and talk about boys.

I lived in our house for a year and yea, other than the usual horseplay of drunken, hormonal 18 to 22 year olds there was overtly "homosexual". As long as no one saw it directly, I think a lot of the guys didn't care. However, bring it into the house and being in the late 1980s, that would have been recipe for getting kicked out. There was no political correctness or acceptance if confronted with the issue. Very prudish and closeted in many ways.
