Yes. I remember being a kid and waking up and hearing it on the radio and waking my mother to tell her and her bursting into tears. And really soon thereafter, Bobby Kennedy, and her practically moaning, "Oh, my god, not again!". It was a horrible, horrible year.

I use to love to listen to Dr. Kings' speeches. He spoke of how great things are possible if we only try.It was a very sad day in our lives to have lost such a great man.

I knew he was a great man but did not realize how great until I learned his story. The courage some people have is inspiring. He represented change and hope. (and still does)

I wonder if you could ever rationale what possibly possessed anybody to assassinate someone who wanted more than anything peace and harmony like MLK?

"This boy is Ignorance. This girl is Want. Beware them both, and all of their degree, but most of all beware this boy, for on his brow I see that written which is Doom, unless the writing be erased. Deny it!" cried the Spirit, stretching out its hand towards the city. "Slander those who tell it ye. Admit it for your factious purposes, and make it worse. And abide the end."

Figures you'd quote Dicken's A christmas carol at easter, but pretty apprapo.
